Experience ancient ruins, sunny days at the beach, delicious Greek food and culture in a luxury family vacation to Greece.

If you’re looking for a wonderful family adventure packed with interesting activities, outdoor exploring and a whole lot to learn in a fun and interactive way, then Greece is ideal.

Bring the myths and legend of ancient Greece to life as you and your family visit ancient ruins and impressive landmarks like the towering Acropolis in Athens. Or marvel at preserved frescoes and the ruins of a Bronze Age settlement, Akrotiri, that was buried by volcanic ash. Budding young archaeologists will love visiting these fascinating sites.

For families that love to walk and hike in nature, there are mountains and forests to tackle, and keen cyclists can explore the villages and towns on two wheels. Discover a love for Greek food and enjoy a cooking class so you can take your favourite recipes home with you, ready to relive another time.

With 16,000km of coastline and a collection of islands, the beach and water is a huge part of a visit to Greece. Relax on the bright white sands of a secluded beach and splash in the brilliant blue water, or hop aboard a boat and see what the different islands in the Aegean and Ionian seas have to offer. Whether you’re in the mood for watersports, or you’d rather keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, Greece’s coast is never dull.

Let your dedicated Travel Designer put together the perfect trip for you and your family, and help you make lasting memories that extend beyond just a few holiday snaps.

A trip to Greece is great fun for families while also being truly educational. I can’t think of another place where history comes to life through enchanting stories. There’s also a host of outdoor activities, wonderful food and amazing beaches.

WHEN TO GO

The best time to visit Greece is either side of the peak months of July and August, which see soaring temperatures and crowds. A trip in June or September will still see glorious weather, only this time twinned with a little more exclusivity. If you can only travel during peak season, we recommend booking well in advance or to explore some lesser-visited corners of the country and its islands.

October can enjoy something of an Indian summer and some wonderful light, while December to March are the coldest, with snow in the mountains, though some winter sun can be found in Crete. April is a little uncertain but wonderfully green, warming up somewhat by May, with some of the southern islands particularly pleasant at this time of year.
