Enjoy a private tour of Argentina with the experts in luxury travel

One of the continent's giants, home to epic landscapes, incredible food and wine and plenty of South American spirit

Argentina is one of South America’s giants – both in terms of size and what it offers. From thundering waterfalls and mighty glaciers to soaring mountains and the dusty desert, Argentina is a true heavyweight when it comes to natural beauty.

Sights such as Iguassu Falls, the Puna and Patagonia have put Argentina firmly on the radar and are every bit as impressive as you might expect. But with a country this size, there is always more to discover. Explore the dramatic landscapes of the north west, spot wildlife in the Esteros del Ibera wetlands, or cruise through the Tierra del Fuego archipelago.

Argentina is also home to one of the world’s most exciting cities – Buenos Aires. When it comes to culture, food and energy and it is hard to beat and its buzz is utterly contagious. And then there’s the wine – oenophiles will want to make a beeline for Mendoza to try its bold, juicy reds.

When to go

The seasons in Argentina are the reverse of those in the Northern Hemisphere. Spring and autumn are a good time to visit Buenos Aires, which can otherwise be quite sticky and humid. Summer is the only time you can climb the tallest Andean peaks and is the most reliable time of year to visit Tierra del Fuego. Autumn is a great time to visit the wine regions and Patagonia where the beech groves turn rusty red and orange.
