When to go

The seasons in Argentina are the reverse of those in the Northern Hemisphere. Spring and autumn are a good time to visit Buenos Aires, which can otherwise be quite sticky and humid. Summer is the only time to climb the highest Andean peaks and is the most reliable time of year to visit Tierra del Fuego. Autumn is a great time to visit the wine regions and Patagonia where the beech groves turn rusty red and orange.

Meet your Latin America Team

Travel Designer

My love affair with South America began in 2001 when I went to Ecuador to teach English and was captivated by the vibrancy of the culture, the friendliness of the people and living at high altitudes!

I have travelled and worked all over the world, but my last stint was out in Latin America.

It was trekking through Torres del Paine that I decided I wanted to work as a travel expert, sharing my experiences and knowledge of this incredible continent.

A love of travel and exploring different cultures might just be in my DNA, being part Swedish and part Peruvian.

Being a travel journalist for over 10 years, I have travelled to over 60 countries and back to Latin America on several occasions.

I spent my time in Central America exploring spectacular beaches in Mexico, learning to scuba dive in Honduras and hiking around the lush green volcanic landscapes in Guatemala.

My most memorable travel experience to date was a trip to the Galapagos Islands – one of the most extraordinary places I’ve ever visited. Out of a love for hiking and the mountains, I’ve been out and about in some of the highest peaks in Europe, so naturally, Patagonia is top on the list of places to visit.
