Many of Jacada’s faithful clients will know me as Kate who ran the Asia department from Jacada’s infancy. However, with the birth of my first son, it’s time for my flights to be shorter and my focus to be turned to planning beautiful bespoke trips around Europe – the continent that I have grown up exploring and call home.
My love for travel stems from my parents, who as a child regaled me with stories of living in Canada, Israel, America and Germany – no corner of the world was outof reach and the desire to be curious and explore the world was encouraged. Studying in America, living in Australia and spending later years for Jacada uncovering Asia’s gems, I feel very fortunate to have seen so much of this beautiful world.
Joining the Europe team I began to refamiliarise myself with the history of this continent’s magnificent sites, such as Delphi in Greece and the Colosseum in Rome, the most magnificent of all the amphitheatres. The depth of history in this spectacular continent is as humbling as it is abundant. And what a backdrop. Europe’s scenery is idyllic and diverse with coastal drives along the Cote D’Azur and the picture-perfect Amalfi, the rolling hills of Tuscany and also England, and in complete contrast, the snowy delights and northern lights in the Arctic and Scandinavia.
My passion is food and wine; personal trip research begins with investigating local delicacies and where best to enjoy them. The perfect day is chartering a boat, spending the day immersed in the sea followed by a light lunch of grilled octopus and a crisp white wine.
Ask me about the unknown. I’d love to sate your sense of adventure by suggesting a wild card
