Romance, gastronomy, history and the City of Lights
Beautiful châteaux, rolling vineyards and prestigious vintages, the glamorous Côte d’Azur, elegant cities and medieval towns. Much of France’s beauty lies in its diversity, and its lure is hard to resist.
Known for its exceptional cuisine, bubbling champagne, diverse terrain and distinctive culture, it is little wonder France is among the most visited tourist destinations in the world. Whether it’s the iconic landmarks and chic style of Paris that has you captivated, the lavender fields of Provence, the medieval history of Reims, the fertile vineyards of Burgundy, Bordeaux and Champagne or the glitz and sun of the star-studded Saint-Tropez, you’ll find a drastically changing landscape and culture wherever you go.
Industrialisation was late to arrive in France and there is a strong sense among its people that it remains a rural country. And while there are many developed cities, the large spaces of countryside and woodland are widespread and vastly unchanged. As well as being celebrated for its gastronomy, producing more than 250 cheeses and some of the world’s most-loved wines, France is also recognised for some of Europe’s most influential artists from Renoir and Monet to Cezanne, Gauguin, Matisse and Braque.
Your trip, whether it’s a romantic France honeymoon or a family adventure, can include as much or as little as you like. We’ll help you explore this welcoming and varied country, perfect for newlyweds seeking a blend of romance and discovery. Assisted by our enthusiastic local guides, we’ll plan every step of your journey, from charming châteaux to the sun-soaked Côte d’Azur, ensuring you can immerse yourself in the tremendous adventure of France while we take care of all the details.

When to visit
France is one of Europe’s most popular destinations, and spring, summer and autumn are the best times to visit. You’ll find some restaurants close during August so it’s best to avoid this month if you’re after a foodie -themed trip. There are some lovely markets around Christmas time and plenty of galleries and museums to explore if you’re visiting during the cooler months.
