I think my wanderlust developed throughout my childhood, growing up in Cornwall and often going on family trips abroad. As soon as I left school, I moved to France to do a ski season and when I came back, it wasn’t long before the travel bug caught up with me. I then moved to New Zealand for just over two years, spending my winters in the snow, and my summers hiking, paddle-boarding and kayaking through the sounds.

I’ve been back for a few years now, and have been in London for 2 of them but still actively make an effort to plan and organise trips for myself to parts of the world I haven’t yet visited. In the next couple of years, I hope to travel to Mongolia for a two week horse-trekking expedition. Being part of the Europe team at Jacada is incredibly exciting, I love how diverse Europe is in terms of language, culture, food and scenery and the trips we put together are the perfect way to experience this incredible continent.

My most memorable trip

Corfu

I absolutely loved taking a boat out for the day from the harbour in Kassiopi, Corfu. There are so many beautiful hidden coves that can only be found by boat or by foot. It is a great way to explore the island and venture into some quaint taverns to meet the locals and taste the incredible fresh fish!

On my bucket list

Gorilla Trekking

I would absolutely love to explore more of Africa. More specifically Rwanda. I can't imagine how magical it would feel to trek for a few days, tracking down the mountain gorillas and getting to witness them in their natural habitat. I've also heard that the Akagera national park in Rwanda has one of the highest densities of hippos and hippos have been my favourite animal since I was able to talk!

My favourite trip

Scandinavian Winter Adventure

This trip looks absolutely incredible. It encompasses Finland (Lapland), Norway and Sweden in 12 days. It's full of activities including snow-shoeing, dog-sledding and ice-dining. I have always wanted to see the Northern Lights as well and on this trip, they take you to a remote area in Lapland and even set you up with a tripod and DSLR camera to capture the moment!

Best destination for families

Greece

I think Greece is an incredible destination for families. With the island hopping options, it is really tricky for children to get bored because there is always something different to see and do. Greece is also fantastic for water parks and theme parks which always makes for a fun day out for the whole family. So for children, Greece is great and I actually think it's a fantastic choice for parents and older children too. There are so many fun options for those who enjoy a more active lifestyle, such as hiking, water-skiing, snorkelling etc.

My top tips

If the only luxury you're lacking is time, consider using trains wherever possible. Some of the scenery you can enjoy from the train is amazing

To really get the best of your eating experience in Europe, ask our concierge team and the locals where they eat - rather than the tourist hot spots

Early bird gets the worm! Try and beat the crowds and wake up earlier for those morning excursions and tours

Learn how to say 'please' and 'thank you' in the language of the country you're travelling to. You'd be amazed how much this is appreciated
