The Faena Buenos Aires is a striking design hotel in the waterside neighborhood of Puerto Madero, the brainchild of local empresario Alan Faena and designer Philippe Starck.
The hotel is located in the restored El Porteño building, an enormous silo built in 1902 that produced grain for post-war Europe. The decor encapsulates the grandeur of the belle epoque that characterised Buenos Aires at the turn of last centrury. A red, black and white colour scheme runs through the hotel teamed with exposed brick walls and concrete pillars that hark back to its industrious past.
Rooms and suites are filled with eye catching touches such as hand embroidered throws and filifree mirrors and feature huge windows which look out over Ecological Reserve, the parks, Río de la Plata and the quaysides of Puerto Madero.
Eating and drinking at the Faena is a real treat. Enjoy fine dining at Bistro Sur where the menu is inspired by the finest seasonal Argentinian produce, or opt for something more casual at El Mercado which is inspired by the country’s famous cantinas and the open air markets of Europe. The Library Lounge is an intimate space filled with antique books and crysal chandeliers, while El Cabaret, inspired by the city’s 1920s tango clubs, is where you can catch the award-winning show, Rojo Tango.
The hotel also features a spa, fitness centre and an outdoor pool.
Spend your time relaxing and exploring this wonderful city. You have our top recommendations for activities, restaurants and shopping so that you can make the most of your time here.

Located in unspoilt rainforest some thirty minutes away from the park and nearby town, Puerto Bemberg is a beautifully refurbished colonial building and a very comfortable oasis from which to explore. This is a hotel for those who wish to do more than see just the falls allowing guests to see more of the surrounding area and the lush rainforest around it. Being based here rather than in the town, one has a much closer connection with the nature and landscape.
There are fourteen comfortable and well appointed rooms, decorated in a modern-rustic style with earthy hues, and antique furniture with comfortable king size beds and verandas looking out over the garden.
The hotel has a good sized swimming pool and walkways through the grounds including one runway which extends out along the tree tops for an amazing view of the landscape below. There’s a real charm and history to this location and the hotel’s design both encompasses and respects that aspect; the homely communal areas including a library, living room and art collection.
Activities possible within the 380-hectare grounds include: Bird and animal watching, trekking through the jungle, motorboat trips on the river and visits to other waterfalls. The hotel is 45-minute ‘door to door’ to Igaussu Falls.

Actually inside the national park on the Brazilian side, this luxury property is ideally located. Walking out from the lobby one can hear the thunder of the falls and the hotel is surrounded by lush tropical rainforest.
The hotel has been recently refurbished throughout to a high standard and in keeping with the colonial mansion style of the hotel’s original design.
The hotel has large rooms with high ceilings, hard wood flooring and period style furniture. There is a large pool area in the rear to relax at with a drink after a day exploring the falls.
Enjoy this stunning natural wonder of the world. Most of our clients choose our full day private tour of the Falls with one of our expert guides, however we do offer variations on this to include boat safaris or hikes through the surrounding national park. We can arrange for kayaking trips, canopy zipline adventures, specialist hiking trails, bird watching and much more, so please speak to our travel designers about exactly how you'd like to spend your time here.

A stunning tour of Iguassu, where you'll get a chance to really get up close to the falls. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and bring you by private vehicle to the entrance of the park on the Argentinian side. You'll then be taking the rest of the tour mainly on foot. Exploring the various wooden walkways that lead through the national park close up to the many chutes of the falls.
One of the most spectacular sites of the falls is the Devil's Throat, which sees the largest flow of water. In order to visit the Devil’s Throat, you must board the train at the Main Station or at the Cataratas Station, close to the Upper Circuit. For those who love trekking, there's the one-kilometre-long Sendero Verde (Green Trail) that connects the Visitors Centre to the Cataratas Station and to the Upper Circuit.
Once you're at the Devil’s Throat Station, you'll have to walk for 1.100 metres on a flat catwalk built over the Upper Iguassu River. This catwalk crosses several islands. Once you get to the end of the catwalks, you'll be surprised by a strategic lookout point resting on the side of the gorgeous Devil’s Throat.

Possibly one of the best places in Argentina for those interested in horse riding, Estancia Los Potreros is an authentic, working Estancia set in the hills around an hour from Cordoba city. This delightful property has been in the same Anglo-Argentine family for several generations, bringing a real sense of place and history. There are just seven rooms here, each comfortable and spacious and decorated with period antiques.
The Estancia is also noted for its numerous sustainable and eco-driven projects. Much of the complex’s energy is supplied via renewable resources, while the extensive on-site farm adopts organic principles and a farm-to-table ethos. Their methods of farming also benefit the local wildlife, attracting numerous species to their land, including the elusive puma. A zero food waste policy is also in practise, while an active tree-planting programme is also hoping to further benefit the surrounding habitat.
There are more than 80 horses in the herd here, ensuring that there is a horse for all styles and abilities. Riders of all standards are welcome here, including beginners. The herd is a mixture of criollos, paso peruanos, polo ponies and crossbreeds. Guests can also partake in the day to day horse activities of the Estancia, making this a well-rounded and authentic experience. In addition to the wealth of horse riding options, including some long riding trips for the more adventurous, there are numerous other activities on offer, including golf, trekking, wine tasting, birdwatching and visits to local churches.

One of the most luxurious Estancias in Argentina, El Colibri has just nine very spacious suites, with vaulted ceilings, verandas and decorated with period antiques. Though there are just a small number of rooms, the ample facilities are more befitting of a larger hotel meaning there is acres of space in which to unwind and relax. The lodge boasts a large outdoor pool, spa area, an excellent restaurant and very well stocked wine cellar.
For those interested in shooting, there is world class dove shooting in this area, open season all year-round.
The Estancia has many excellent horses including polo ponies (and also has a polo field) making this a great place to come for those interested in riding. Other activities available include golf, visits to local churches and wine tastings.
Service is excellent and the hotel is part of the Relaix and Chateaux group.
The rolling hills and pasturelands of the Cordoban countryside seem almost made for horse riding, which is by and the large the best thing to do here.
Activities will usually depend on your chosen estancia, but usually range from horse riding, golf, trekking, bird watching or visiting Jesuit Ruins - speak to our Latin America travel designers on what suits you.

Club Tapiz is an excellent, finca style accommodation set in the heart of the wine region.
Originally built in 1890 this wine estate has been converted into comfortable and well designed accommodation, whilst preserving many of the original features. There is a pleasant pool and patio area from which you can enjoy great views of the Andes on the horizon, whilst the rooms are all comfortable, spacious and well decorated.
This is one of our favourite choices in the area and the hotel’s in house restaurant in one of the very best in the area.

Certainly standing out from most other Mendoza hotels, EntreCielos is very much on the contemporary cusp and bravely looks ahead to luxury wine lodges of the future.
In-keeping with the minimal modernist design, the exterior is non-descript and inside takes the mould of a concrete bunker. However, don’t let this discourage you because the décor of soft, sparkling floor and ceiling lights as well as the rich textures and inviting soft furnishings gives it a stylish and luxurious warmth. A total renovation of the property was completed in May 2011 and the rough bare walls interrupted with sheer glass playing out the beyond scenery of vines, mountains and skies makes for a pleasant journey of contrast when walking the maze-like hallways.
There is a large spa modelled on the traditional Hammam, where you can get a massage, facial, sit back in steam rooms, or plunge yourself between hot and cold pools.
Five categories of rooms are grouped and styled to the different ages of wine, and all have private terraces, iPod docks, air con and free WiFi. The ‘Young’ or superior rooms exude a fun vibe and are good for families. ‘Classic’ or superior deluxe rooms are slightly bigger, come with a four-poster bed or twin and have bright, vibrant bathrooms with a freestanding bath tub. Next up is the ‘Reserva’ or junior suites with similar amenities to the Classic yet is 50m² and at 85 m² is the ‘Gran Reserva’ or Duplex suite (of which there are 4), which enjoys two levels and unique views of the Andes, vineyards and surrounding gardens. At the top is ‘Grand Cru’ or super king with 95 m² to roam about in, a private terrace with Jacuzzi, rainforest shower and coffee machine. Currently uncompleted but soon to pip the Grand Cru is the exclusively private vineyard loft.
With a good range of activities and a helpful team of staff, the food served in the in-house restaurant is very good and well matched with the wine from their cavernous cellar.

Cavas Wine Lodge is one of the most luxurious and romantic accommodations from which to explore the Argentinean wine region.
Each of the rooms has its own private plunge pool and impressive views out across the vineyards to the Andes.
The hotel also has an excellent spa facility and is one of the most luxurious and romantic accommodations from which to explore the Argentinean wine region.
The Cavas restaurant offers a superb seasonal menu using organic products. There is also a spacious underground cellar showcasing 250 carefully selected wines from the Mendoza region. Guests can enjoy wine tasting with the resident sommelier upon request. Both bed and breakfast and full board options are available here.

The Park Hyatt Mendoza is the most luxurious and fully equipped hotel in the wine region. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious with contemporary design. Beds are king size and the marble bathrooms are huge.
The hotel has a beautiful heated pool in the centre and a first class spa facility. The hotel is also home to Bistro M, perhaps the best restaurant in the Mendoza region.
Unlike the Mendoza wine lodges listed in our portfolio, the Park Hyatt is located in the city of Mendoza itself, and therefore lacks the rural tranquility that the others have. However, if it’s first class service and infrastructure that you are looking for instead of rustic charm and character, this is the place to be.
Spend your time enjoying the beautiful Mendoza region. Visit wineries, enjoy the restaurants or simply relax at your hotel.

Your expert local guide will collect you from your hotel and bring you for an enjoyable sample of the different wineries in the Mendoza area. The Central Valley or Primera Zona (the closest to the city of Mendoza) includes the counties of Luján de Cuyo, Maipú, Guaymallén and Godoy Cruz. This is the home of malbec and where some of the most prestigious Argentine wineries are located. Originally from Bordeaux, France, this variety found the ideal place to prosper in Mendoza given the agro-climatic conditions of the area.
During the tour you'll visit three different wineries, we suggest a mix of smaller, boutique establishments and the larger operations, to give you a chance to see the contrasts and differences. During the visit, you'll always be accompanied by your private guide, though during the visits and tastings themselves you'll also be with the wineries' own guide.
Finally, in the afternoon, you'll stop at one of the top Bodega restaurants (such as La Tupina or Ruca Malen) for a chance to really enjoy the wine as it is meant to be; with great food. You have a gourmet tasting lunch paired with wines from the Bodega.

Located a one hour's drive south from downtown Mendoza, the Uco Valley spreads between the towns of Tupungato, Tunuyán and San Carlos. It is formed by the Tunuyán River and is protected by the striking Cordón del Plata mountain range and is one of Mendoza’s most imposing landscapes and also one of the most fertile ones. The region is covered by more than 10,000 hectares of vineyards as well as fruit tree plantations. The altitude of the Uco Valley is the highest altitude at which wines are produced in the province of Mendoza (up to 1,400 meters above sea level).
Today you'll visit three distinct wineries in the valley for tours and tastings, contrasting smaller, more traditional vineyards with strikingly modern pieces of architecture. Enjoy lunch in the last winery.

Head out of Mendoza and into the Andes for a spectacular day spend exploring the mountains. En route, stop off for sightseeing and a BBQ lunch or gourmet picnic.

Private tour to Iguassu Falls Argentinean side, including boat trip A stunning tour of Iguassu, where you'll get a chance to really get up close to the falls. |

Full-day Mendoza wineries tour - Central Valley Your expert local guide will collect you from your hotel and bring you for an enjoyable sample of the different wineries in the Mendoza area. |

Full day wine tour with lunch and tasting in Valle de Uco Located a one hour's drive south from downtown Mendoza, the Uco Valley spreads between the towns of Tupungato, Tunuyán and San Carlos. |
