When to visit Buenos Aires
The best time to visit Buenos Aires is in the spring (September to November) or autumn (March to May). During these seasons, the weather is pleasantly mild or warm and the city isn’t too crowded. That makes them perfect for exploring Buenos Aires’ history, architecture and street food on a walking tour. And in November, the jacaranda trees bloom into a sea of vibrant purple.
In summer (December to February), Buenos Aires is hot, humid and busy. Conversely, winter (June to August) brings cool, dry weather and is a quiet time to visit the city.
