Enjoy golden sands, turquoise beaches and abundant wildlife in a luxury Ecuador family vacation.

Ecuador is perfect for family vacations. Compact in size, its varied landscapes, biodiversity, history and culture make it ideal for an adventure with children whatever their interests. Snorkel and hike in the Galapagos, raft in the Amazon Rainforest and horse ride at haciendas.

Let Jacada take you and your family there with all our care, superior service and established expertise for an unforgettable trip to this enchanting and often overlooked country. A fully bespoke trip means that your family can set your own pace and factor in time for both adventuring as well as relaxing poolside.

Stay at superb jungle lodges in the midst of the Amazon rainforest to explore the source of the mighty river, discover its smallest creatures and vibrant birdlife. Spend your days exploring the quaint market towns and peaceful countryside of the Otavalo area, picking up handicrafts and staying at an authentic, working hacienda to see daily life here in depth. Soak up the colonial heritage of Quito and the magical biodiversity of its lesser known cloud forests. Match one or all of this with days cruising its Galapagos Island (or staying on one of the islands’ hotels).

Step into a realm of ancient wonders as you delve into the captivating legacy of Tulipe’s “stone pools”, an extraordinary archaeological complex at the base of a sacred “tola” mound

Satisfy your sweet tooth with an enlightening chocolate tasting experience that takes you all the way back to the origins of chocolate in Ecuador in around 3,300BC

    When to visit Ecuador

Choosing the perfect time for your bespoke Ecuador itinerary depends entirely on what you’d like to include in your family adventure. If you want to visit the Andean Highlands, the dry season from June to September offers the clearest skies and most stable weather for trekking past volcanoes like Cotopaxi. For the Galapagos Islands or the Pacific Coast, December to May has the warmest temperatures and calmest seas – perfect for learning to snorkel. If you’re taking your family to the Amazon, aim for March through July for canoeing or August to December for exploring the jungle on foot.
