Hey there, I’m Seema, the Head of Latin America Travel Design, overseeing Central and South America. My passion for exploration began during family holidays in the UK, evolving into extended trips to India. My university days opened the door to thrilling journeys across the United States and later on, a spontaneous decision led me to fly on a one-way ticket to Sydney, sparking an unforgettable backpacking adventure through Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. Upon returning to London, the travel bug bit me again, compelling me to book yet another one-way ticket, this time to Quito, Ecuador. It was upon my return to the UK that I realized my true passion lay in the travel industry, specifically in the captivating realm of Latin America.

Antarctica
The trip that holds a special place in my heart is undoubtedly the one I took to Antarctica. Being an absolute penguin enthusiast, I can't even begin to describe the sheer joy I felt when I found myself in such close proximity to the playful and mischievous gentoo penguins. It was a truly enchanting experience that I will cherish forever. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit this pristine and untouched land.

With an eager spirit and a thirst for knowledge (and tequila, of course), I can hardly contain my anticipation for the exhilarating journey that awaits me in Mexico. I've been yearning to set foot in this captivating place, driven by my insatiable curiosity to delve into the enchanting world of the Aztec civilization. My experience at Casa Palopo in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala was absolutely delightful. The breathtaking views of the lake that greeted me every morning were truly magical. What I particularly admire about the hotel is its connection with the local community in Santa Catarina Palopo. They are actively involved in a wonderful initiative to enhance the exteriors of numerous houses, transforming them into vibrant and inviting homes. This effort not only adds a stronger sense of pride and belonging but also contributes to the overall charm of the town.
My top tips
Upgrading to stay at the Belmond Das Cataratas Hotel in Iguassu Falls is totally worth it. Nothing can prepare you for the exclusive access to the falls.
Don't just go to El Calafate in Argentine Patagonia to see Perito Moreno Glacier, travel a little further to El Chalten for adventurous hiking trails leading to spectacular views.
Prepare for all weather! Often you can experience 4 seasons in one day, so wearing layers is key.
