    Venice, Rome & Florence

    are Italy's most romantic cities

For cultural cities, beautiful coastline and world-class food and wine

Italy is one of the world’s most romantic countries, from the waterways of Venice and the renaissance beauty of Florence, to the impossibly pretty Amalfi Coast, the rolling hills of Tuscany and the stunning beaches of Sardinia.

Every couple is looking for something slightly different from their honeymoon, and our Italy experts can create a dream itinerary that caters to your specific interests and offers unique and memorable experiences. There will, of course, be plenty of time to relax at your luxury hotels which have been chosen for their location, character and quality.

Great food and wine is par for the course when travelling in Italy, and a liberal sprinkling of both Michelin-starred restaurants and local trattorias makes Italy a wonderful destination for romantic dinners and unique dining experiences. For those that like to get creative, there are ample opportunities for cooking classes and wine tours from the northern Piedmont region, famous for its truffles, right down to Sicily, the ball of Italy’s boot.

There is so much history throughout Italy and privately guided tours in cities such as Rome, Florence and Venice really bring these places to life. If you’d rather spend your time exploring the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean, we can arrange private boats trips to the Aeolian Islands and Capri as well as luxury stays on the shores of Lake Como. Of course, this is your Italy honeymoon so you can include as little or as much as you’d like – simply speak to your Travel Designer and together create an unforgettable trip.

    Highlights

Set sail on Lake Como on a romantic, private boat trip on the sparkling waters. Admire the pretty shoreline before landing in Bellagio to wander the charming streets

Venice is possibly one of Italy’s most romantic cities. Take to the canals on an iconically romantic gondola ride visiting the cities most famous and attractive islands

Step back in time with your expert guide for an atmospheric and immersive tour of ancient Rome at The Forum, Palatine Hill and the Colosseum

Hop aboard a private speed boat for a tour of the stunning and chic coastlines of Capri and Amalfi. Stop at the Blue Grotto where a small local row boat will take you into the mesmerising caves

Spend your romantic honeymoon exploring this enchanting land, where you will wine and dine under moonlit skies, visit beautiful cities and make memories to last a lifetime. For those who love gastronomy, visit the wine regions, or paddle around Venice while enjoying world-famous gelato. Those of you who are adventurous can even go hiking in the Dolomites, cycling through the Tuscan countryside and climb Mount Etna.

    When to visit

Italy is a year-round destination. Summers can get very hot and crowds do swell, so spring and early autumn are great times to visit. The sun is still shining and it is much more pleasant to explore the cities once the intense summer heat has subsided.
