Luxury Greece Honeymoons

Inspired luxury honeymoons to Greece, designed for you

Beautiful islands, fascinating history and undeniable romance

With its beautiful beaches, charming islands, fascinating history and wealth of incredible hotels, Greece is the perfect place for a luxury honeymoon.

Athens is an endlessly intruiging city with sites such as the Acropolis and Panathenaic Stadium offering a glimpse into the ancient world. Combine this with world-class restaurants and a thriving cultural scene and you’ve got the perfect city break. There are also lots of nooks and crannies to explore and quiet corners for an authentic Greek meal or glass of wine.

There are few things more romantic than watching a fiery sunset across the ocean, and the Greek islands offer some of the most spectacular. Santorini and Mykonos are effortlessly chic with their cubic houses nestled into the cliffs, whitewashed windmills and blue and red church domes. There are also countless secluded beaches and coves, many of which are only accessible by boat. Chartering a private yacht gives you the ultimate felxibilty and is the perfct way to discover your own little piece of Greek heaven in total peace.

Of course these are not the only islands to explore. Scattered throughouth the Aegean Sea, each island offers something different and hopping between them is one of the best way to experience Greece. One day you could be learning the secrets of Greek cuisine with a local chef and the next, enjoying a wine tasting with an expert somelier. And of course, the islands are the perfect setting for a couple of days of total relaxation.

Greece is an outdoor lover’s dream, and there are some incredible cycle routes and walking trails that take you along the coast and into deep gorges cloaked in forest. And then of course there is the history. There are few places in the world with such a rich tapestry of temples, forts, palaces and stadiums. The whole of Greece is littered with relics of times gone by, but perhaps the most remarkable regions of all is the Peloponnese, and a visit here is to see history come to life.

There are few countries that offer such variety, so speak to your Travel Designer to start creating the most unforgettable of honeymoons.

When to go

The best time to visit Greece is either side of the peak months of July and August, which see soaring temperatures and crowds. A trip in June or September will still see glorious weather, only this time twinned with a little more exclusivity. If you can only travel during peak season, we recommend booking well in advance or to explore some lesser-visited corners of the country and its islands.

October can enjoy something of an Indian summer and some wonderful light, while December to March are the coldest, with snow in the mountains, though some winter sun can be found in Crete. April is a little uncertain but wonderfully green, warming up somewhat by May, with some of the southern islands particularly pleasant at this time of year.
