The world's greatest wildlife spectacles
Few experiences thrill the soul like the sighting of lions silently prowling the savannah, the gentle rustle of elephants grazing in the morning sunlight, or the thunderous applause of thousands of wildebeest hooves traversing the Serengeti. Tanzania has all these and more, with some of the best African safaris on offer within its national parks and private reserves.
Your Tanzania luxury safari with Jacada is elevated by handpicked lodges, private game drives with experienced guides, and meaningful nature-based activities, including walking safaris. As well as game drives in Katavi National Park and the exclusive Singita Grumeti reserve, witness the world famous Great Migration during the quieter months of wildebeest calving season from the more private lodges of the southern Serengeti.
So much more than a safari destination, wildlife abounds in every corner of Tanzania. Accessible only by air or water, Mahale Mountains National Park is well worth the journey. These thickly forested mountains are home to the largest known population of eastern chimpanzees. Observe them on a responsible trekking experience with a private guide, with your visit contributing to both conservation efforts and community projects.
On to mountains of another variety, Tanzania is also home to ‘the roof of Africa.’ The tallest mountain on the continent, Mount Kilimanjaro dominates the savannah skyline, and makes for a formidable yet rewarding climb. Our travel experts can arrange for you to climb it with the aid of professional guides and high-quality, weatherproof equipment, allowing you to reach the awe-inspiring summit in safety and security.
Round off your luxury safari in Tanzania with white sand beaches and aquamarine waters on the island of Zanzibar. Our team can arrange for you to explore both above and below the waves, with private yacht excursions or snorkelling trips in the protected barrier reef around Mafia Island. Complete your trip with a stay at Mnemba Private Island for the ultimate in luxury. Get in touch with our travel experts to start planning your trip.

When to visit Tanzania
While Tanzania offers a variety of fantastic experiences the whole year round, the timing of your trip is important if there’s something you particularly want to experience. The dry season, which runs from June to October, is best for wildlife viewing and is when the migration occurs. Meanwhile, December to February brings lush landscapes and newborn wildebeest calves, as well as some jaw-dropping predator action.
If you want to climb Kilimanjaro, then the drier months of December to March and June to October will offer clear views and better conditions on the trails. These are also the best months to visit Zanzibar, although the shoulder months of November and early December still offer plenty of sun around short afternoon showers.
