This was our first experience with Jacada though we had heard good things about the Company. Our trip to South America included Ecuador and Peru with the highlights being the Galápagos Islands and the Inca Trail. I cannot exaggerate how good Jacada was to us. Every need was taken care off including some we did not even realize we had. For example when we arrived in Lima Jacada surplus with a dinner reservation at one of the best restaurants in the City. All our guides were incredible and seemed to be well versed on us and our travelling style. Every hotel was amazing. Our intra country travel was carefree and perfect. We will definitely use Jacada again. But where too next ????
I booked with Jacada because of the professional service I experienced from travel planner, Jobi, during the initial phase of planning/customizing the private tour itinerary we wished for. She was patient and was very prompt in replying to our email queries. Because first impressions matter to us, our group (party of 4) decided to choose Jacada. The Jacada service from the planning phase, pre-departure (with jessie and bern) and actual trip with our professional and accommodating guides, was generally a very pleasant experience. Shout-out and warm thanks to Julio (cusco guide), Ginny (buenos aires guide), Natalia (el calafate guide) and Marcelo (rio de janeiro guide). To top it all, we were even treated with a few surprise experiences and thoughtful souvenir gifts from Jacada and their partner agencies during our trip which we sincerely appreciated and enjoyed. I just find it noteworthy to include in this review that we had an unfortunate incident during the first day of our trip in Lima, as Miguel, our enigma city tour guide did not show up for our tour in the morning. Only to find out later that he picked up the wrong people in our hotel for his service which he only realized when he was halfway delivering the tour. We were very disappointed about this incident, since we woke up early for the tour despite lack of sleep from our travel. We were then instead rescheduled for the tour in the afternoon so we sadly did not experience watching the sunset and view at the Miraflores malecon, which we initially intended to do. On a positive note, Miguel turned out to be very interactive and humorous, so we enjoyed his company all throughout the tour and later thought our short time with him was well worth it. Also, the enigma outdoor picnic lunch at the Sacred Valley was another activity that did not meet our expectations because the tiny folding chairs provided were uncomfortable to sit on. There was more than enough food prepared- However, the taste of the food was not exceptional, but was ok for 4 hungry fellows at that time. Also, they could have chosen a location that did not have muddy surroundings and had at least stable flat ground for the comfortable set-up of table and chairs. Apart from these two mishaps, we were definitely taken well care of, pampered to the fullest (from arrival at the airport to airport pre-departure check in assistance) and our little requests for flexibility in our itinerary were well sorted out by the guides. Again, thank you Jacada!!!
It was easy dealing with jacada. We were given one person to handle our account for this south America trip, making sure we were updated and reminded regularly. For every hotel we Checked into, they got messages and tour Reminders waiting for us either in our hotel room or via the hotel reception. Well done jacada. Thanks Jess and Berni!
Jacada is more than a Travel Agency. It literally felt like they were with us every step of the way, anticipating and reacting in real time so our experience could be remarkable. I would recommend Jacada to anyone looking for the perfect trip.
Great trip! This is our second large group (23 people) trip hosted by Jacada. Both exhilarating and relaxing...it's amazing what we could do in 36 hours just outside of Lima. Looking forward to next year's adventure!
The entire team was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and highly responsive to our desires when constructing our trip to Peru. We are very well-traveled and, I believe, are qualified to say Jacada is top-notch. Highly recommended.
I use jacana travel for the last 5 years they provide the best service, best hotels . one thing for sure you don't have to worry where ever you go it will be the best this country has to offer.
Dedicated team, great recommendations and flawless execution!
The service was perfect.
Amazing! This was my 2nd solo trip with Jacada to South America and I can’t say enough great things about them. Everything is so organized and I was well taken care of by everyone on the team. My activities that included other travellers proved how spoiled I was with Jacada’s connections whether it was learning local history, access to local foods or special cooking classes or restaurant visits. Experiences are with thoughtful, conscientious companies that allow me to connect and support communities and environment. Each new accommodation has a personal note from my Jacada travel expert, which as a single traveller, makes me feel connected and looked after. 5 stars all the way. Thanks Emily!
Jacada was a fantastic company to work with in the planning of our vacation to Peru and Ecuador. Susann Pietschmann was our main contact at Jacada and she has traveled to South America quite a bit and is very knowledgeable of the area and I would trust her input and suggestions without a doubt.
The organisation of our tour of Ecuador and Peru was excellent. Very efficient service from Jen and Romanet both of whom responded quickly to our queries.
Excellent experience from start to finish.Susann was brilliant and the hotels and trips she recommended were spot on. Everything ran to time - no problems - and everyone who we met and all the staff at the hotels were delightful. Other people did not have such a good experince as we did with their premium booked holidays not with Jacada - so we would certainly recommend Jacada and would not hesitate to use them again.
Our second wonderful trip with Jacada. We are already planning no. 3. Wonderful accommodations, entertaining and informative guides; we were always met at the airport and for adventures on time. Hearing the Wow! from our grandsons when they first viewed Machu Picchu will always be held dear in our hearts. Thank you Jacada
We were treated like stars. Everything was more than was expected from our first meeting in Lima to our goodbye. Excellent guides!
We had a great trip. Every place and experience that they set up for us was wonderful. Wherever we went our tour guides made us feel like we were getting an exclusive experience. The accommodations they arranged were lovely. We felt like we were able to experience the true culture and history of Peru.
Jacob and his team developed the trip of a life time. He spent time understanding what my daughters and I were interested in doing in Peru. He helped us create the perfect itinerary. He and his team were available throughout our trip in case we wanted to modify any of the details. He had team members on the ground who were efficient, considerate, and who took care of everything. It made the trip very easy and added to our enjoyment. I can't wait to plan my next trip with Jacada!
We felt in good hands for our trip to Peru and the Galapagos from the beginning. The travel concierges who help plan, listen to your needs and develop an itinerary that is beyond amazing. We consider ourselves very experienced travelers but it added to the enjoyment that Jacada took care of every detail, and had wonderful staff on the ground to greet you and get you to where you needed to go. The travel guides and accommodations were excellent. I cannot wait to book another trip with Jacada! I have recommended to many friends without hesitation.
Jacada Travel is the way to go! Our trip to Peru was amazingly planned. We had such a wonderful trip with excellent guides and just the right mix of activities and relaxation time. Dinner at Central in Lima was exceptional! And we loved the culinary experience in Cusco. Every detail was managed for us so our one and only job was to enjoy our time. Thank you Lily, Berni, and the entire Jacada Team for making our Peruvian experience truly an experience to remember.
Trip to Peru & Ecuador. Jobi and her team, both in HK and in South America, made sure that this was a truly memorable trip.
First time using this company. Very happy with the arrangements on our trips. Nothing is perfect and sometimes the local tour guides or hotel is not perfect but overall we were well taken care of. They listen to my feedback well after the trip. Will hire them again for future
My Wife and I normally do our own self driving tours around the world but decided to celebrate our 20th anniversary in South America with the help of Jacada travel. It turned out to be the absolutely correct choice as Jacada produced a fantastic itinerary for us. We had a blast of a time in Lima, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca and Chile. Jacada also managed to secure hard to get reservations at the TOP restaurants in the world like Central and Maido. Every hotel we stayed at was TOP notch and we had private guides with us at EVERY stage of our 18 day holiday, including helping us check into all our hotels plus checking in for ALL our flights. Yes, the prices are not exactly cheap but for what we got, it was TOTALLY worth it. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend Jacada if you are looking for a private tour in South America.
Jacada created and executed an amazing trip to Peru for 3 of us. All travel arrangements and transitions were seamless. More than that, the people who greeted us and managed the reservations etc., weren’t just efficient, they were genuinely gracious both enlightening our travel experience and making us feel immediately welcome and at ease. The hotel choices were top notch, each with special qualities, such as Sol at Luna’s horse stables and magnificent Sacred Valley setting. The private guides not only knew their subjects but, but came to know us and our personal areas of interest. All of the guides were appealing individuals and we enjoyed our time with them immensely. We feel the work done ahead of the trip by Lily, Berni and others at Jacada laid the groundwork for all this success. Their pre trip consultation was excellent. We thank them for a truly great Peruvian experience. How can you not appreciate finding personal notes from your travel person when you arrive at a new destination?
The experience with Jacada was absolutely fantastic. All of the hotels, restaurants and planned activities were exceptional and top quality. The guides were all extremely personable and helpful every step of the way. Moreover, the logistics were all completely seamless as we never for a moment had any questions or issues in getting anywhere. In fact, even when one or two minor unanticipated issues popped up, the team worked quickly to revise the plans to ensure we weren't in any way inconvenienced. Overall, my wife and I were extremely impressed and we would highly recommend Jacada to anyone who is seeking help with their travel planning.
Thanks to Jacada- Jacob and Romanet team- fantastic job as all transfers, guides, drivers, hotels and restaurants were an A plus!!! We spent 8 nights including Lima, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cusco. Highlights in Sacred Valley were Chinchero, Moray, picnic lunch and Ollantaytambo ruins - Machu Picchu highlights were the train ride up, hike to Sungate at sunrise and mountain hike and citadel ruins- Cusco highlights were Pisac ruin hike, Amaru Community Lunch and Hotel Monasterio- Lima highlight was cooking class with Heine Harold- 555 Catalina and Hotel B in Barranco. Last but not least learning all about the Incas and their amazing accomplishments in their 100 year period. Thanks again Jacada!! See you next year!
Great travel company. They know what kinda trip you want and offer you the 5 star and 5 diamond treatment.
Jacob and Romanet at Jacada travel did an excellent job planning our trip to Peru. The details were covered. The excursions and guides were well selected. Even when our travel plans hit a snag (it is truly inevitable), the in country team selected by Jacada were there to help us through it. All in all, our family had a great trip thanks to Jacada.
From my first call to learn about Jacada travel to my follow up call after our trip - I have had only first rate professional and personal attention. Traveling at luxury accommodations as a family only group fulfilled our expectations.
My family's experience with Jacada was wonderful! Our recent trip to Peru (Sacred Valley- Machu Pichu-Cusco-Lima) was seamless and virtually stress-free, thanks to Lily's able assistance on the front-end and Jacada's team on the ground in-country. Lily's suggestions and recommendations in trip planning were spot on. The accommodations were wonderful; our guides (especially Juan Carlos) were great; and the daily activity level and duration were just right for our multi-generational family of 5 (ages: 13-70). This was our first experience with Jacada, and I anticipate we will be repeat clients.
Absolutely amazing trip - a dream come true.
Jacada Travel is a wonderful agencies who do their utmost best to put the “perfect” itinerary together for you the client. I worked with Emily Opie who helped put our journey together as a birthday gift for my husband to visit South America and mostly to see macchu picchu. What an experience. The journey was exactly what we were looking for and so much more. The guides that helped out along the way were fantastic. The vacation did not have one flaw. It was picture perfect, as well as, travel perfect. I would recommend this agency out of the UK to anyone who would want a once in a lifetime extremely well done vacation. Absolutely fantastic/magnificent. Thank you team Jacada!!!
This a great company and would have received 5 stars (excellent planning, great local guides, first class accommodations) except for the following: The tour promised that at each stop we would be greeted by a Jacada rep with a sign with our name on it. This worked perfectly except for our arrival in Iquitos for the start of our Amazon cruise where we were unable to find any signs with our names or Jacada's. After waiting a half hour outside the terminal, we decided to call the 24-7 emergency numbers provided by Jacada - NONE OF THEM WERE ANSWERED. We were finally rescued by the cruise line employees who, unbeknownst to us, were desperately searching for us. The frustration could have been avoided if we had been told to look for the cruise guides instead of a Jacada rep. Despite the above, both Nancy and I had a great vacation and have no problem recommending Jacada to anyone seeking a first class adventure.
My parents and I were looking to make memories and all of the travel advisors at Jacada as well as the guides and travel arrangements they booked for us were amazing and truly memorable! We went to Peru and Argentina. Every guide was knowledgeable and catered to our every need. Every hotel was comfortable and with beautiful views. Another thing I want to point out - we always had someone we could call and talk to with questions before, during and after. Plus, they surprised us with a level of comfort, great tours, and even a dinner reservation at one of the world's best restaurants. I couldn't recommend them more!
Jen and the rest of the team at Jacada Travel, made our travel to Peru, an experience of a lifetime. From the planning of the trip, to the execution of our travel plans inside Peru, we were taken care of every step of the way. The entire team, before, during, and after our travel gave us a first class experience. They took care of all our needs and made sure that all travel situations that arouse were handled quickly and professionally. They are all true professionals, who truly understand the countries and places they send you to, and all their recommendations were on point. This was our first time working with Jacada Travel and it will not be our last.
This was my first trip using Jacada and I must say that they under promise but over deliver. Everything was perfectly organised and their representatives and guides were exceptional. Everyone was always punctual and very courteous and knowledgeable. There was great attention to detail and they even threw in a couple of meals at their expense. All in, the trip was fantastic and enjoyable as a result of the quality of service provided. I would have absolutely no hesitation using them again.
Great company to coordinate through and will personalize the experience for what you want to see. It was a pleasure working with Jacob in designing our trip. The team on the ground took very good care of us and were well informed. The drivers ensured we traveled with care keeping calm and cool in al driving conditions.
Over the Christmas season we used Jacada to organize our trip to Peru. The team was extremely knowledgeable during the planning phase, and the on-ground team were exceptional. They recommended several unique day trips that were outside the standard tourist fare which really made the trip extra special. I would not hesitate to recommend Jacada Travel and we will definitely use them again in the future.
This is the second trip Jacadsbplanned for us. The first was an extraordinary experience in South Africa. This trip was to Peru and Ecuador. Jacads did a wonderful job arranging our hotels and guide. Alll were superb. They also found a tented camp for me in the galapogos since I dodo not want to stay on a boat. It was. Beautiful and definitely the right choice. I would not hesitate to use Jacads for my next adventure
Jacada,in particular George, advised and arranged our trip to Galapagos, the Sacred Valley,Machu Picchu, and the Amazon forest. It was a bit of a hectic adventure rather than a holiday, but the arrangements were seamless, the guides perfect, the hotels exquisite. In fact everything that their website boasts!Without all their expertise it would have taken a lot more than the three weeks which we had available. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Jacada and plan on using them again.
We are very glad we went with Jacada versus a local travel agency. We were a little weary of communicating over the phone and via emails, but the Jacada group have the experience first hand of going to the countries, places, even restaurants you want to visit, and I think with this approach, we knew exactly what we were getting out of a trip because Jacada knew exactly what they were giving. The trip itself was amazing and everything seemed to be taken care of for us. This allowed us to just enjoy our surroundings. So great!
Excellent start ..to... FINISH! Lily Bunker and her team wove together my ever changing plans seamlessly! Great travel suggestions as well, as i added a last minute "detour" to Machu Picchu ....again it was done with no disruption. Local Tour guides were very good (along with the drivers and "transfer" hosts). One minor hiccup was immediately rectified without any fuss! i am looking forward to our next trip(s).....thanks very much....best regards, Ray & Alice Del Savio
Very good trip to Peru and Ecuador. Fabulous local guides and beautiful locales chosen. One particular hotel in Quito was just ok but the others were wonderful. Small details were taken care of. I also got help for my stolen cash in terms of police filing etc. Well done Jobi and Jacada. I will recommend Jacada to friends and am looking forward to my next trip with Jacada in December.
Beyond expectations! Work with George and Susann and you will have no worries! My wife and I live in the USA and needed someone to coordinate our trip to The Galapagos Islands, Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu, and an Amazon River Cruise. Our trip was flawless and a guide was holding our hands at every juncture. Go with Jacada for an incredible journey! Thanks for the opportunity to applaud these good folks. James
We just returned from a three-week trip to Peru and Ecuador arranged by Jacada. While we normally schedule our own travels, we wanted to see Machu Picchu, the Amazon rainforest, and the Galapagos and knew we needed help. After reviewing several companies, we decided on Jacada because of its experience, positive reviews, and responsiveness. We found Jacada to be outstanding in all regards, from planning to execution. Our representatives were Emily and Suzann who were very knowledgeable about South America and who provided detailed information on transportation, guides, hotels, restaurants, and excursions. They also were exceptional in helping us determine a budget and offering options that would meet it. For example, we really wanted to stay at the Sanctuary Lodge at Machu Picchu and have a suite for our Galapagos cruise (both pricey) and were perfectly happy to stay at a Marriott or Hilton in other cities at a lower cost. Both Emily and Suzann kept in constant touch during the planning process, responding immediately with emails or phone calls. They even got us restaurant reservations in Lima at Central and Maido (5th and 8th in the world, respectively). The trip turned out to be perfect in every way. Our tours were fantastic, and our drivers and guides were outstanding, always prompt, very friendly, and helpful. This was particularly important during challenging times, such as the 6-hour delay from Machu Picchu due to a landslide on the train tracks; Adrianna and Antonio were there waiting for us and smiling and got us to Cusco at 2am! Emily and Suzann also kept up with us during the trip with small notes at the hotels and a lovely gift of alpaca scarves. Because of the attention to details and overall quality of the trip, we would not hesitate to book with Jacada again and highly recommend it.
All the Jacada people were great to be with. They assisted us from the planning through to the execution of our journey. The home office people were very knowledgeable in setting up our travel plan and the guides and drivers got us to all the places and informed us well regarding the sights. Machu Picchu was the center point of our adventure and the assistance of our guide Nilo made it every bit of our expectations and then some. Visiting the Sacred Valley in advance of M P gave reference to the role and life of the Inca nation and made the visit to MP much more worthwhile. Also, feeding the baby Alpacas that morning was great fun........ As an added bonus to our trip, we were set up with a cooking class in Cusco that was fantastic for us. Peruvian cuisine organized by a master chef and then able to enjoy it all was our best meal of the trip.
Jacada Travel arranged our family holiday in South America , including the Inca Trail and Galápagos Islands. The arrangements were faultless and much exceeded our expectations
Jacada thought of everything! Their expertise and foresight made our trip to Peru an incredibly memorable experience. I don't know where my next trip will be taking me... but I know that Jadaca will be behind it.
George organized a tour for us which was absolutely suited to our needs. Not only did he put this together, but he did so on very short notice after another tour company cancelled our tour on quite short notice. From the time we arrived at our home airport in Toronto at the start of our vacation, until the date that we arrived at our leaving airport in Quito, Ecuador, at the end of our vacation, George organized this tour every step of the way. Not only were the drivers and tour guides on time and extremely helpful, but George himself arranged to leave notes and treats for us along the way to greet us as we arrived at each of our destinations. These extra "goodies" were unexpected but surely provided my wife and I with much pleasure and delight. I would not hesitate to recommend Jacada to others and, in fact, I have already done so in the first week following my return from vacation. Thank you so much for an amazing experience!
We just returned from our second trip, planned by the team at Jacada Travel. Once again, the overall experience was exceptional. No detail is lost by their team. We felt we were in very good hands, during our entire trip. We spent 20 days in Peru, including the physical challenge of hiking the Inca Trail. Our guide made changes on the fly, to accomodate my difficulty with the altitude, without which I probably would have been forced to turn back. With his experience and knowledge, I was able to successfully complete the hike. There is so much work that happens before departure, seriously, they think of everything. Thanks once again. I have and will continue to highly recommend Jacada Travel.
Jacada Travel curated a flawless travel experience for our family to Ecuador and Peru. Our trip was packed with activities ranging from mountain biking, hiking, snorkeling, cooking classes and cultural and architectural tours. All of the guides provided by Jacada were super friendly and knowledgeable. The hotels and restaurants recommended by Jacada were fantastic as well. This was a trip with a lot of moving parts - travel by planes, train, car and boat - all without a hitch! I highly recommend Jacada Travel, and will use them again in the future.
We traveled for two weeks in South America. Starting in the lovely historical city of Quito, we knew we were in for a treat. Jacada handled every detail of our travel, pick-up, hotel, touring, restaurant experiences, etc. flawlessly. They transferred us to the next part of our trip, the Galápagos Island cruise without a hitch. We enjoyed five days on the Santa Cruz II, which offered superior service, excellent accommodations, as well as wonderfully prepared food, and well educated, knowledgeable guides. You could not ask for more. Once we retuned to land we were back in Jacada's capable hands as we flew to Peru. We continued to explore the land and history of the Inca people. Everywhere we visited, each hotel we stayed in, each guide who lead us was exceptional. I have traveled extensively in my life but have never felt so worry free on a trip before this time. I would not hesitate to recommend Jacada to any traveler looking for a first class experience, worry free, on their vacation. I would give them 6 stars.
Having given an outline of what we wanted to see and do, the centerpiece being to take the Hiram Bingham train and stay at Sanctuary Lodge in Machu Picchu, Jacada ( Ciara Owens in particular) gave us excellent advice and put together a fabulous experience. The hotels were wonderful. The pacing of the trip and the private guides arranged for us were exceptional We had time to absorb what we were visiting and enjoyed the services of very open, knowledgeable, flexible, well informed and personable guides. There were extras in addition to the sights we wanted to see. One guide planned a 'picnic' for us, unlike any I have ever had. A tent, with rugs, cushions, facing snow covered mountains, and delicious Peruvian foods, catered by a charming young couple from Cusco. Edgar also took us to an animal rescue where we saw a spectacled bear cub, orphaned and just 6 months old, a baby vincuna, and condors up close and personal. We had a visit to a family farm high in the Andes and learned how they work the fields, and prepare and spin wool into those marvelously inticate weavings. Sheep to loom and finished products, plus a home cooked meal with 4 shy and curious, proud and happy women and a 5 month old baby. In their home. Travel connections were well planned and booking taken care of by our guides. Everything ran so smoothly! When we wanted to see the Ice Maiden in Ariquipa, which had not been on our itinerary, Jose provided extra time for us to do this and a personal tour of the exhibits. He also took us to visit a local one-room school in the Andes which was eye opening in terms of how the indigenous people live. And included a birthday cake and song for my travel partner. The 2 students who showed up that day, of the 21 who may travel up to 3 hours to get there on any given day, work and weather permitting, clearly found us rather exotic and were thrilled to be given the little cake our guide had secretly brought along. Very touching. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
Had a wonderful trip which was well organized by George. The accommodations were first class as were the tours and tour guides. We were so well taken care of by everyone associated with this company. Always felt safe and looked after. Would highly recommend it.
Jacada, and Ciara/Susann in particular, did an amazing job of organizing our trip. We did three countries, eight locations and ten flights without a hitch. The local support was excellent and the advice as to things to do on the ground was really useful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone.
Outstanding vacation! Everything went extremely smoothly, Jacada representatives were with us every step of the way, accommodations were outstanding, and tour guides were superb. This was a vacation with an aggressive itinerary that went flawlessly. All of the tour guides were top notch and Jacada was able to secure reservations at the top places for us. We would not have changed a thing and highly recommend Jacada for complex travel arrangements. No detail was overlooked. We very much enjoyed our two days at Machu Picchu, hiking to the top of Huayna Picchu, and the scenic train ride. We spent a few days aboard the Delfin I in the Amazon and very much enjoyed the intimate small boat setting. Our Galapagos cruise aboard the Santa Cruz II was also amazing. Overall, fantastic trip!!!
Jacada arranged our trip to Peru. Four hotels, three cities not one snag. First class hotels, guides and drivers that made a difference; insightful, helpful and great people. Passionate about their jobs. They structure your day but leave time to explore on your own. Just follow their recommendations and you can't go wrong.
We would highly recommend Jacada Travel. They were thorough and thoughtful. We were taken care of from morning until night each and every day of our trip. Attention to detail was exceptional. All of our guides were knowledgeable and kind. We had a fabulous holiday thanks to Jacada Travel's trip designers. Many thanks and cheers to our trip designers, guides and drivers!!
Personable and professional......knowledgeable and insightful..... Caring and committed..... The Jacada team helped create an adventure of a lifetime for my family!!!! Looking forward to the next!
Jacada provided us with the utmost in professionalism in planning our trip to Peru. Accommodations were beyond expectations and guides provided were both personable and willing to do whatever needed to be done to ensure that our trip was perfect. Along the way, they even threw in a few unexpected surprises which enhanced our experience even more. Not only will I unconditionally recommend them to friends and family, I already have while also contemplating my next adventure for them to plan and organize for us.
An adventure, different than any other vacation. Attention to detail by Jacada's personnel and "hands on" service was beyond belief. Guides were unbelievably knowledgable. That alone made one feel comfortable.
Me and my friends were planning for a trip to Peru since the beginning of 2016, and We did the right decision when we chose Jacada Travel to handle all the details for our trip ! We had a wonderful experience, the 12 of us ! excellent accommodations, friendly tour guide and perfect care of the little details ! We will totally travel with them again to other destination ! I personally loved how they are well arranged from the day I emailed them and then working on the perfect itinerary together and later living the great details in real in Peru ! it was definitely the ultimate trip with adventure, sightseeing, luxury, cultural experience and more
Every detail of our 15 day trip to South America was perfect from the meeting us at the airports to the English speaking guides/private drivers to the beautiful hotels! I would definitely use Jacada again.
Jacada and Emily Opie planned the 10 day trip my daughter and I took to Peru earlier this month. We visited the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Lima, Cusco and the Amazon. Jacada arranged transportation, guides, activities, hikes and some meals. They did a great job -- trip was fabulous, guides fun and knowledgeable and logistics close to flawless.
Our trip to Peru was nothing short of an adventure! Each of our destinations was planned out perfectly, and the order in which we saw the various parts of the country was well thought out, considering the challenge of the altitude. So much so that we acclimated very well as we traveled throughout our 2 weeks. We started in the Amazon and finished up on serene beautiful Lake Titicaca, with amazing culture filled stops in between in the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cusco. Our guides were knowledgeable and fun to be around. We loved it! Thank you Jacada Travel!
First time visiting Peru and I got really sick getting over there - probably food poisoning from something I ate before I left US. Jacada and their guides were with us every step of the way, getting me the medical attention that I needed and they were all so caring and flexible. With their help and the help from the local hospital, I was able to recover fully in 2 days and resume our trip - even climbing up to Wayna Pichu afterwards!! Thank you Jacada, Lily, Susanne and our local guides Nilo, James, Daniel, Marisol for the most fabulous 25th anniversary trip!!
Lily at Jacada Travel did a wonderful job planning our trip to Peru and Galapagos.
Every aspect of the travel experience was right on and taken care of from recommendations of sites and length of stay to printed boarding passes at our departure. Selection of hotels and restaurants choices were perfect. Hiking was as advertised, spectacular and tough, but doable thanks to the excellent guide.
65 year old Canadian cardiologist who has traveled moderately previously (Nairobi, Nepal, SE Asia, etc) with the most recent trip to Kyiv Ukraine who wanted an organized excellent educational tour of Peru (Cuzco, Lake Titikaka, Machu Picchu, Amazon, Lima). Jacada was superb with great pretrip internet and telephone consultation as well as guiding my wife and myself thru the entire visit (not intrusive yet comprehensive). When we asked for something additional they organized it to our satisfaction. Fernando the guide in Cuzco/Sacred Valley was the best guide we have ever had, knowledgeable, taking our requests in stride and supporting yet not pushing us. If you want to visit and enjoy a Peruvian trip this is for you.
Jacada's group of professionals made our trip to Peru very special. They anticipated situations and provided the best experience possible.
Jacada planned a wonderful two week trip for us. Everything was set to perfection. Hotels, travel, tours, and everything else set up through Jacada was amazing. You definitely get the service and trip you pay for. We would and will use them again for another trip.
I recommend Jacada highly to anyone - our trip was perfectly planned - all of our guides were great, our hotels were great, the itinerary was well thought out. We will use Jacada again when we next travel abroad. Jen, our agent there, thought of every detail and had the trip highly organized. Thanks to the thoughtful planning, we had an incredible family trip!
This is the first time I ever used Jacada Travel and I am spoiled for life. The vacation was perfect. The hotels, driver and tour guides were exceptional.
I could sense that the Travel Designer (Jennifer) is somehow tracking our every move and always communicating with the people on the ground that on the needs to have her clients be looked after well. Our journey was tight with many early flights to catch (new year's day at 4 am). Assistance to ensure breakfast is available at check out desk at early hours; guide in attendace to ensure assistance on check in in crowded and non english speaking airline ground staff is taken care off are some of the small things that makes the difference in our travel experience. Of course getting the best rooms at the best hotel/resort repeatedly is another crown to Jacada! I think it is not only about money that you paid but the extra effort that you could feel that makes the difference. In my view in areas where they have control, they have done exceptionally well. Highly recomended and thanks to Jennifer!
I found Jacada on the internet and they provided us a tour with everything we wanted. They responded quickly and professionally. We had excellent guides and felt very comfortable traveling in Peru. All our accommodation were superior which was great after hiking the Inca Trail. We were extremely pleased our entire trip!
My family and I have travelled with Jacada Travel twice now to South America - Peru and Ecuador/Galapagos. Both trips have been at the top of our bucket list for years, and Ciara at Jacada made sure that the trip met every one of our high expectations! Ciara and the team at Jacada helped tailor the accommodations and tours to our style, taste and budget, including a luxury camping trip along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru, and a wonderful cruise with my 10-year old daughter in Galapagos. Jacada ensures every detail is taken care of, arranges all your transfers and tours, truly allowing you to have a car free vacation. Everything is first class and better than you expected. Jacada and their local guides also helped arrange a flight back from Peru when my grandmother fell ill while we were away. We are working on a trip to South East Asia with Jacada next!
Emily Opie who was our travel consultant did an outstanding job. Lima, Sacred Valley, Cusco and of course Machu Picchu were outstanding experienced. The guides, the food, the accommodations were all wonderful.
This is the second time that we have used Jacada Travel, and we could not be more pleased with the professionalism and attention that we have received. Both trips to South America were well planned and came off without a hitch. Even when there was a miner strike in Peru, the agency took care of us beautifully. Thank you, Jacada.
George worked with us to prepare and execute a fantastic trip to Peru where we saw fantastic sights. The trip was very well organised and went faultlessly. The hotels were excellent and the food was excellent throughout. The itinerary was well thought out and took account of the altitude in such a way that we did not suffer from it at all. The guides were very good and made the sites and museums come alive in a brilliant way. All done in a very cost effective way compared to the opposition.
We had an awesome holiday and packed a lot into 20 days with moves by plane, rail or coach every 3 days. Everything was organised for us everywhere with minimal delays throughout. The Hotels were excellent and to the standard we expected. All the guided tours were brilliant, very informative and a must in certain areas especially Lima where we visited sites that would not have been obvious to the average tourist. We visited Lima, Puerto Maldonado , Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu , Hirham Bingham (superb) , Cusco , Andean explorer, Lake Titikaka, Colca Lodge Colca Canyon , Arequipa and finally Lima. A really memorable trip.
We are so glad we went to Argentina, and equally pleased that Jacada was our guide. Positives: The right amount of time on our own and with the guide, just my husband and myself instead of a group of strangers traveling with us,fabulous food, small boutique hotels, local guides, and best of all: very customized to our wishes and interests. Negatives: none
Emily heard what we wanted, sent us choices, asked questions, gave advice and in four short days our plans were finalized. So nice to work with someone so professional. Everything on our trip was exactly as presented, no mistakes, mis communication, excuses. Really nice to have such a great experience. And they follow up all along the way, really a quality experience.
When our intention to visit the Galapagos Islands and Machu Picchu became more concrete, I started to search the internet for travel agencies and stumbled across Jacada. After I sent an e-mail on a Sunday afternoon, neither did I expect to receive a first call only hours later, nor a complete first draft itinerary few days later. What followed were very professional communications with the Jacada representative, great advise and suggestions upon hotels and sight seeing options to get everything we wanted on our schedule, but even more we could imagine. Being a critical customer, after that perfect start with planning, I was very curious how the promises would be turned into delivery, which in my opinion is the only thing that counts. Now after having returned from a 3.5 weeks trip I can confirm: All promises were kept and our high expectations on a luxury travel provider were fully met! Top hotels everywhere, a great cruise through the Galapagos Islands, experienced and knowledgeable guides in Ecuador and Peru, and the feeling of being taken care 100% every day of our tour made the difference for us. Having met other many other travellers with problems with the altitude in Peru, we really appreciated the sequence Jacada put together for us (Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cusco, Lake Titikaka), so we could enjoy every moment at these places. Personal letters and individualised additional suggestions for visits restaurants etc. at each of our stops just topped all the selections. Honestly, I was a little bit sceptical about travelling with a tour itinerary only and not the usual booklet with a number of tickets and vouchers (which in our case with all the different hotels, transfers and visits would have been rather thick), but everything was prepared optimal; we did not have to care about anything. Well, as a summery: When ever we will be travelling to places Jacada is represented, they will be our only service provider.
I came across Jacada while searching the web for luxury vacations in Peru. I honestly was not familiar with the company so I did a bit of research and found them to be a well rated and very reputable firm so I proceeded to work with them. I've reached a point in my life (50's) where I am willing to spend a bit more to ensure I have more upscale accommodations, personalized / private tours, and a well thought out itinerary that reflects my interests and affords me the opportunity to make changes along the way (e.g. starting the tour an hour later, spending less / more time at a place depending on my level of interest, etc.). Jacada is just the place to arrange such a trip. From the beginning, George, our "Director of Travel Design" worked with us inquiring about our likes, dislikes (e.g. city vs. countryside, types of foods we like, activity level and interests, etc.). From there he proceeded to develop a detailed itinerary that we further fine tuned. He also provided extremely helpful guidance on the timing of flights (to avoid issues with fog, etc.) that demonstrated a high level of detailed knowledge of where we were traveling. This expertise became even more evident as our trip progressed and all the well orchestrated pieces of our trip flowed smoothly together. George had a knack for knowing when we would need a break and built that into the trip, but also ensured we were situated in hotels that could easily and cheerfully facilitate relatively spontaneous requests like "we would like to go on a horse back ride today" or please get us a taxi to the ruins of Ollantaytambo (both of which we did!). The planned private tours on the trip were provided by absolute top notch guides. They knew their profession, country and sites and really made you feel welcome and ensured the tour was meeting your expectations. In fact one day my wife was feeling a bit off and the guide immediately said lets go the pharmacy and get her an electrolyte drink (which was what she needed!). He proceeded to go in and buy it for us as it was clear his concern was for her well being. His quick thinking and generous nature allowed us to enjoy a tour that otherwise might have been quite miserable. When we wanted to start a tour an hour later (which we did a couple of times) we simply asked, they made a quick phone call and all was set (one of the beauties of a private tour!). The accommodations were all at a minimum excellent and a couple were truly outstanding with one being the nicest hotel room I have had in my life - and I have traveled a bit for work and pleasure and stayed at some nice places in Europe, Asia, South America and the US. The sites we saw were all terrific and indeed reflected what we had shared our interests were. Having the private guide allowed us to tune them as we went along, for example at the Maras salt ponds we decided to walk through them and take about a 1/2 hour hike down the mountain (with our guide) to meet our driver vs. simply jumping back into the van. Had we wanted to not take the hike that was OK too. The entire trip was nearly flawless in terms of execution and meeting expectations, though we did have two relatively minor glitches, and in many ways how these were handled speaks volumes to the quality and reputation of Jacada. The first happened when one of our in country flights was a bit early. I could not find our guide. I called the local contact provided by Jacada, who immediately picked up the phone, assured me the driver was there and asked me (while staying with me on the phone) to look again. Sure enough I quickly found our guide. The issue seemed to be that our flight was (as mentioned) early so while he was likely there he just had not gone to the greeting area early. Had the flight been on time this would likely not have been an issue, but it does demonstrate that Jacada had planned for such things and ensured I had a contact. The second minor issue was our tour at Machu Picchu was listed as a private tour but we ended up in a small group (5 people). While I didn't think much of it at the time, I casually mentioned this to George upon our return, he investigated, indicated it was a mistake and promptly provided us a refund for that tour, now that is integrity! There is no doubt Jacada is a first class operation to be trusted. And while the tours they arrange are "luxury" they are not what I would call obnoxiously expensive. Sure they are a bit more than being carted around on a bus with 30 other people and staying at mass market OK hotels, but the benefit of doing it through Jacada is a tour that is yours, providing a personalized experience and the flexibility to make it meet your needs and wants as you go along. Arrange your next holiday with Jacada - you will be glad you did!
We had an incredible trip to hike the Inca Trail and visit Machu Picchu via Jen Richt at Jacada Travel. From our tours in Cusco, to all of our transfers and the amazing experience at Enigma Tours (the trek)....we were completely taken care of! It was a seamless, wonderful adventure and would absolutely book through Jacada in the future!
It was going to be the first time for me and my father to South America, and I stumbled upon the name "Jacada Travel" in many articles and thought of checking it out. The website did enough impression to make me decided to contact them. Since that moment, I have been very taken care of by my travel designer, [Name] Owens. She crafted an extremely beautiful plan that fits almost everything we want to see within our limited time. This plan is refined couple times along the way, including last-minute change due to our visa situation. She has been extremely patient and helpful to us. The trip itself was fantastic. Jacada did a great job in adding many personalized touch throughout our trip. Very friendly guides and drivers who knows our taste, welcome gifts upon arrival to every country and every hotels, and lots of letters from [Name]. Our hotels are all amazing and fits our preference of what a good hotel should be. There is absolutely nothing bad I can think of. It has been one of the most memorable trip for us. It's even better to know that the price we paid are only slightly higher than what local tour providers in Indonesia would charge us; but we got WAY better hotels and services. If there is anything Jacada can do to improve what has already been a really wonderful service, is if they can take care of visa applications as well. Otherwise, all my thumbs up for them! p.s. If you want to know EVERY single detail and experience of my recent trip with them, check out my blog by searching google and type "Travelog christian leonardo jacada" (since this review does not allow me to post any link, apologize for the inconvenience lol)
We had a fantastic 10 days in Peru organised by Jacada. We didn't have to put much into the planning coz Jacada really knew how to make the most of the 10 days. We were met by representatives at every stop and our guide, Oscar was fantastic. The hotels were really magnificent choices. It was great to know that we were not missing anything important since the trip was planned with someone who knew the area. Thank you Jacada for a wonderful experience. We now really want to explore more of South America. Looking forward to planning our next trip.
Everything turned out as planned and outlined by Jacada. Arrangements for airport pick ups/drop offs, hotel rooms, mini tours and guides were excellent.
Everything was planed and executed perfectly by Jacada. Our accommodations, guides and drivers were first class! We were particularly impressed by the on-time arrival of all personnel at the airports so that we were never concerned about being stranded in a foreign country. We most certainly will use Jacada Travel again for future international travels.
We traveled to Peru with Jacada in September/October 2014. We chose Jacada because of their flexibility and responsiveness. Our trip encompassed three nights in Sacred Valley, one night in Machu Picchu, three nights in Cusco, three nights at Lake Titicaca outside of Puno, and two nights in Lima. Each hotel (Rio Sagrado, Inkaterra, Monasterio, Titilaka, Miraflores Park) was beautiful, rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, and each room offered a beautiful view. Our guides were well-informed, courteous, and professional, and the drivers were excellent. We were met at each location and were escorted to airport or train station after our visit there. The sights we experienced in each location exceeded our expectations. Peru is a beautiful country with a rich archeological and cultural heritage which we were so pleased to experience. Everywhere, the people we met were friendly and helpful. The restaurants in our hotels, those which were part of our package, and those which we chose on our own served tasty, high quality, local food uncontaminated by outside influence. Peru does not receive enough credit for its cuisine What a wonderful trip! Our thanks to George Warren at Jacada, to our guides and drivers, and to all the people who made our journey so pleasant and memorable. We would certainly consider traveling with Jacada in the future.
In Hawaiian "no ka 'oi" simply means "the best". My wife and I have always done everything on our own when traveling so going through a travel agent was a first for us and "luxury travel" was also a first. The best I can say for Jacada in general and George Warren in particular is that --- every single thing they said they would do they did. It was also done when they said it would be done. There were a few surprises though, like the tango show where when we got there we were seated, literally, front row center. Also the restaurant where we were seated right next to the kitchen (an honor) where we could watch what was going on and converse with the chefs. Every hotel they booked for us treated us as if we were the most important people they had on the property. Jacada is truly "no ka 'oi".
everything about the planning and execution of our trip organized by Jacada travel was truly superb! Six of us went and all are of the same opinion that it was wonderful. we highly recommend them for travel plans.
George at Jacada arranged the vacation of a lifetime through all of Peru - Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, the Nazca Lines, the Amazon basin! Every hotel was impeccable. We ate the choicest meals. All arrangements were made for us, and the local guides were knowledgable and friendly. Even the cook on the Inca trail was able to cook a vegan menu for my wife, which was quite a surprising and welcome touch. I'd recommend Jacada highly!
Jacada handled EVERYTHING for our 12 day Peruvian adventure. From the planning to the guides to the in country assistance, everything was top notch and no detail was left unmanaged. Jen Richt planned an exceptional trip for us and our itinerary was filled with the most interesting sites, and most luxurious accommodations. Our Peruvian guides were knowledgable, amiable, proud and fun! I would recommend Jacada to anyone who wants stress free travel where every single detail is handled and you are tended to from start to finish.
Great hotels and service all the way through the trip. Peruvian food and service was excellent. The Amazon boat was luxurious and alll the staff were very knowledgable. The only complaint was that the airline connections were painfully long.
Peru is very much a year-round destination. Our advice is to avoid the peak of the rainy season, which is February. Visitors in May-September will enjoy the dry winter season. This is the best time to visit Machu Picchu and enjoy some of the treks
