Luxury Spain Food and Wine Tours made for you

A gourmet Spain food tour designed just for you

Relish extraordinary flavours on a Spain food and wine tour

Across the vast and diverse country of Spain you’ll find countless kitchens that prioritise a respect for fresh local produce. Whether it’s perfectly ripe tomatoes, rich, fruity olive oils or hand-gathered cockles and mussels, every region has its own distinct gastronomy.

In the Basque Country, the historic quarter of San Sebastian buzzes with tiny bars serving pintxos (bite-sized snacks). A San Sebastian food tour will introduce you to Basque cuisine, and we’ll recommend our favourite of the city’s many Michelin-starred restaurants. While you’re in Northern Spain, we will arrange a bespoke tour of the homeland of Tempranillo wine, exploring La Rioja’s rolling hills or the high plateau and dramatic landscapes of the Duero Valley.

Moving on to Catalonia, you can try a bespoke tapas tour in Barcelona – you might like to meet your Spanish host in a local wine bar, or explore Barcelona’s famous food markets before learning how to make classic tapas. Some of the world’s finest wines and cava are produced in the Penedès region of Catalonia, and we will reach out to expert local sommeliers to arrange tours and tastings.

Travelling south to Spain’s sun-soaked Andalusia, you’ll find a region where Moorish influences blend with Spanish traditions, and where the tapas culture reaches its zenith in cities like Seville and Granada. The region’s olive groves produce some of the world’s finest oils and the delightfully small city of Jerez is at the centre of the region’s sherry production and is home to many bodegas.

It’s impossible to spend any time in Spain without gaining an appreciation of the Spanish love of food, particularly lunch (la comida), which should always be enjoyed late (after 2pm), with several courses and excellent wine.

When to visit Spain for culinary experiences

Southern Spain is extremely hot in the height of summer, so spring, early summer or autumn tend to offer more comfortable conditions for exploring. While the north also heats up, it stays milder – ideal for outdoor adventures like hiking or exploring vineyards. Thanks to a wealth of bars, restaurants and cultural spots, the cities remain appealing no matter the season.
