Nepal is widely known as the home of Mount Everest and a dream destination for mountaineers. It’s also a wonderful place to travel with your family. Here there are trails for all ages and experience levels; you can set out on an easy excursion through the forests and villages of the Bhimirepani Walk in Pokhara or tackle a section of the Annapurna Circuit. Whatever the route, it’s hard to imagine a better bonding experience than a family trek in Nepal.

Animal lovers should head to Chitwan National Park and Bardia National Park for the chance to spot Bengal tigers, leopards, elephants, one-horned rhinoceroses and smaller species like porcupines and pangolins. We can arrange child-friendly safaris that are thoughtfully adapted to the ages and interests of each family member.

Kathmandu, the capital, is a hub of cultural heritage and educational fun. Visit art museums and artisan workshops, wander through produce and spice markets, take interactive cooking classes and marvel at the intricate architecture of the city’s many temples and stupas.

    When to visit Nepal

The best time to visit Nepal is autumn, from mid-September to November. This is when the weather is best for outdoor activities like hiking, with pleasant temperatures and clear skies. The springtime months of March and April can also be nice, as temperatures are rising but not yet too hot.

June through early September is monsoon season, bringing heavy rainfall and less-than-ideal hiking conditions. The coldest months are December through February, with snowfall likely at higher elevations across Nepal.
