My passion for travel stems from my curiosity about the unknown. I love learning about different cultures, connecting with people and observing how varied the scenery can be around the world. I’m constantly amazed by the power of nature.
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to explore some remarkable places, from Honduras to Botswana and Nepal to New Zealand. The more I travel, the more I deepen my knowledge of different destinations and bring that expertise into planning trips for my clients.
Months spent travelling through Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia gave me some unforgettable experiences: snorkelling in the giant clam garden on Lizard Island, swimming with sea turtles off the coast of Lombok and sharing the water with wild dolphins in Kaikoura.
I’ve trekked through the volcanic landscapes of Mount Batur and the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Waking up to views of Mount Cook over Lake Pukaki was another moment I’ll always remember.
In recent years, I’ve delved further into Asia, tasting incredible dishes across the region. Some of my favourite experiences include cruising through the dramatic karsts of Lan Ha Bay and hiking through the Himalayas to Everest Base Camp.
For me, the world isn’t just a map; it’s an invitation to explore.
My most memorable trip
Botswana
Botswana has been my most memorable trip for its extraordinary wildlife and beautiful, remote landscapes. The intimacy of the animal sightings gave me a deep sense of connection to nature. I can’t wait to go back and explore more African countries.
On my bucket list
Raja Ampat, Indonesia
Sailing, snorkelling and diving through Raja Ampat is high on my bucket list. I’m fascinated by the idea of exploring its underwater world and observing some of the richest marine biodiversity on Earth. Seeing the dramatic karsts, venturing into dense jungle and spending a night on a boat beneath star-filled skies all sound incredibly peaceful. Nothing around but the sea and the surrounding islands.

My favourite trip
Luxe Java, Sumba and Komodo Adventure
This example trip perfectly captures the side of Indonesia that made me fall in love with the country. You journey through three entirely distinct worlds: Java’s rich cultural heritage, the wildlife-rich waters of the Komodo archipelago and the remote landscapes of Sumba. It’s a brilliant way to experience the adventurous side of Indonesia without compromising on luxury.
My favourite hotel
Bawah Reserve
Bawah Reserve in Indonesia is my absolute favourite hotel, particularly for its setting. Surrounded by a marine reserve and turquoise waters, you can completely relax or add a little adventure. Dive alongside hawksbill turtles, paddle clear-bottom kayaks and head out on night-snorkelling excursions. On land, dense greenery covers the island. It’s a paradise of secluded jungle trails and castaway-style beach picnics in a wonderfully remote setting.
My top tips
Head to Indonesian islands such as Java, Sumba or Komodo to explore lesser-known spots. You’ll find layered history, beautiful beaches, rich marine life and a different side of Indonesia
Visit Japan in late November or early December to catch the end of the autumn colours at a quieter time. It’s also worth venturing beyond the major cities to places such as Amanohashidate and Kyotango.
I recommend taking the train for short domestic journeys. Travelling by rail makes the journey part of the experience, giving you time to relax and watch the landscapes change along the way.
Try street food across Asia. Look for traditional stalls where plenty of locals eat, as these are often a good sign of fresh, well-loved food.
