Ellie Khoury

My love and passion for travel stemmed from my curiosity of the unknown, a fascination of people, their culture and background, the feeling of being free-spirited, wild and carefree away from the usual day-to-day and my constant amazement of our planet and its myriad of landscapes.

I’m so lucky to have had the opportunity to have visited so many remarkable places in the world: from Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica to Bali, Sri Lanka, the USA and Australasia to name a few; the more I travel, the more wanderlust I become – there are SO many places on my list.

Food and drink are a hugely important part of travelling for me; I’m lucky being half Lebanese that I grew up in a home where we were encouraged to constantly try new things and taste the flavours of the world.

I spent 4 months travelling around Australia, New Zealand and Fiji and had some of the most memorable experiences of my life. From an overnight sailing trip through the Whitsundays, stargazing in the middle of the ocean (after a day of diving with reef sharks!), to swimming with dolphins in the wild in Kaikoura, hiking the Tongariro Alpine Crossing whilst experiencing four seasons in one hike, and wild camping on the edge of Lake Pukaki waking up to a view of Mt Cook. I could talk for days about all the incredible things to do in that part of the world, but I won’t bore you with that here (give me a call and I’ll tell you everything!). There is something so familiar about Australia and New Zealand; with their friendly and laid-back nature and unique sense of humour, when you feel miles away from home, you also feel right at home.

Travel is absolutely my passion and I strongly believe that the world is out there to be explored.
