While you’re in Northern Spain, we will arrange a private tour of the homeland of Tempranillo wine, exploring La Rioja’s rolling hills or the high plateau and dramatic landscapes of the Duero Valley.
Moving on to Catalonia, you’ll taste Barcelona’s exquisite small plates, chat with your local host in a neighbourhood wine bar and explore the city’s local food markets. You’ll also learn how these simple sharing dishes are made. And as some of Spain’s finest wines and cava are produced in the Penedès region, we’ll work with expert local sommeliers to arrange intimate tastings.
Travelling south to Spain’s sun-soaked Andalusia, you’ll find a region rich in Moorish architectural influences. Tapas culture continues here too, reaching its height in cities such as Seville and Granada, while the region is considered one of the world’s finest producers of olive oil. We suggest visiting the small city of Jerez, the centre of the region’s sherry production and home to many traditional bodegas.

When to visit Spain for culinary experiences
Southern Spain is extremely hot in the height of summer, so spring, early summer or autumn tend to offer more comfortable conditions for exploring. While the north also heats up, it stays milder – ideal for outdoor adventures like hiking or exploring vineyards.
