The ninth largest lake in the world, Lake Niassa has a central position between the North western province of Mozambique and Malawi. The crystal clear lake waters and tranquil surroundings make this a really fantastic place to escape and enjoy pristinely beautiful natural surroundings. Along the lake shores are a number of stunning white sandy beaches, which make it a great place for a beach stay in a peaceful and less discovered area of Mozambique.

The unsalted crystal clear and turquoise coloured waters are very inviting for swimming and other water based activities. Unlike the sea, the waters are not affected by tides, however storms can cause waves and disturbances in the lake.

To arrive at the lake you can take a charter flight to Lilongwe and then travel to the shores of the lake by boat.
