Its neighbour to the east is just as fascinating. The north of Vietnam is home to the vibrant capital of Hanoi – the perfect place to experience the old and the new – as well as the lush rice paddies and hill town of Sapa. This is a great place for those that love to trek. You can also spend a few nights on a luxury junk boat exploring Halong Bay. Central Vietnam is where you’ll find the charming town of Hoi An and Hue, once home to the mighty Nguyen Dynasty, while down in the south is the intoxicating city of Ho Chi Minh.
