Two amazing countries with so much to offer
When it comes to epic landscapes, incredible food and fascinating history, both Thailand and Vietnam have it in spades. These are two of South East Asia’s most popular countries, and with good reason.
Thailand has it all – beautiful beaches, cosmopolitan cities, serene countryside and some of the world’s best food. There is so much to discover here, you could keep coming back every year and you’d find something new each time. It has some of the most luxurious properties as well, from slick city hotels to boutique beachfront villas with private pools. There are so many excursions to choose from, so whether you’re into hiking, cooking, museums or art, there is something for everyone.
Its neighbour to the east is just as fascinating. The north of Vietnam is home to the vibrant capital of Hanoi – the perfect place to experience the old and the new – as well as the lush rice paddies and hill town of Sapa. This is a great place for those that love to trek. You can also spend a few nights on a luxury junk boat exploring Halong Bay. Central Vietnam is where you’ll find the charming town of Hoi An and Hue, once home to the mighty Nguyen Dynasty, while down in the south is the intoxicating city of Ho Chi Minh. These are just a few of the highlights – there is so much to discover in between.
Both Thailand and Vietnam have so much to offer - history, culture, beautiful landscapes and welcoming people. As wonderful as the sights are in both, make sure to notice the little things too - the buzz of the market, the aromatic food and the sounds and smells that change with every turn.
