I’ve always loved travelling and was lucky enough to grow up with some memorable family holidays, which gave me an early appetite for seeing more of the world.
As soon as I had the chance, I moved to Australia and spent a year working at a school, using every holiday as an excuse to explore the region. After a ski season in Europe, I realised the travel bug still hadn’t gone anywhere, so I returned for another year, followed by six months in New Zealand.
Eventually, I found myself in the Northern Hemisphere again, with winters in the Swiss Alps and summers exploring Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Sri Lanka.
Now I’m living in the UK, but I’m still as curious as ever and always thinking about where I might go next.
My most memorable trip
Fiji
My most memorable trip was when I island hopped around Fiji. I spent weeks visiting some of the most pristine beaches I have ever seen, staying with local families and eating some amazing food.
Best destination for families
Thailand
I think the best place for families has to be Thailand. It’s a great learning experience for children, giving them the chance to immerse themselves in different cultures and ways of life. There are so many memorable activities to enjoy together, from tuk tuk street food tours and cooking classes to spending time on the beaches and islands.

My favourite trip has to be Sydney, Uluru and the Great Barrier Reef. I love how much variety it packs into one journey, bringing together one of the world’s great cities, unforgettable dining under the stars with Uluru as a backdrop, pristine beaches and extraordinary marine wildlife.
My favourite hotel
Shinta Mani Wild
My favourite hotel is Shinta Mani Wild in Cambodia. Any hotel you can arrive at by zipline is a yes from me! I love how completely immersed in the rainforest you feel sleeping in one of the 15 luxury tents set along the river. I had the opportunity to explore the surroundings by kayak while spotting wildlife, and experience sundowners beside the waterfalls, surrounded by the sounds of the forest.
My top tips
If you visit Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, spend an extra night and venture further out to La Ha Bay. You will have a much more exclusive experience so you can fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty
In Sydney, venture further out of the city into the Eastern Suburbs to Rose Bay or Watsons Bay for one of the best views of Sydney Harbour
In New Zealand, take a helicopter to visit Milford Sound. You will have the most amazing birds eye view giving you a perspective not many will get to see
Step away from the usual tourist trail. Some of the most memorable experiences happen when you explore a little further.
