When to visit South Africa for food and wine tours
South Africa is a year-round destination, and this is especially true when food and wine are your priorities. That said, Cape Town experiences expect the best weather during summer (December–February) when temperatures are highest and rainfall is lowest.
The Winelands are especially lovely in spring (September–November) and during the harvest season (February–April), both of which are among the best times of year for vineyard tours in South Africa. We especially recommend pairing wine tastings and food tours with safaris; September and October are ideal months to visit.
