Overview
Insolito’s arrival in Buzios has really raised the standard for luxury accommodation in the area. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a chic style with retro references, and with great views across the bay.
The communal areas are equally well decorated and appointed with an excellent restaurant, jacuzzis, wet and dry sauna, spa, sea water pool and a beautiful fresh water infinity pool as well. The Belgian chef excels in desserts: the chocolate mousse we found in our room upon arrival was particularly memorable!
This the most luxurious and stylish hotel in Buzios, so if you love design, you’ll undoubtedly love Insolito. Just a few minutes by taxi from the waterfront where you’ll find the restaurants and bars of Buzios, Insolito benefits from being in a quiet area, yet within easy reach of the action.

The hotel is superbly located, looking out across the sea but also close to the main ‘Rua das Pedras’ street where many of the best restaurants and bars are to be found.
The facilities at Casas Brancas include a pleasant pool area and veranda, and excellent spa facilities.

Famous for being 'discovered' in the 1960s by Bridgette Bardot, Buzios is no longer the sleepy fishing village it once was, with an abundance of restaurants, bars, boutique shops and hotels. Thankfully, development hasn't been too drastic, and the town still retains much of its charm, often being referred to as the Brazilian Saint Tropez. One of the most spectacular sites of the falls is the 'devil's throat' which sees the largest flow of water. In order to visit the Devil’s Throat, the visitor must board the train at the Main Station or at the Cataratas Station, close to the Upper Circuit. For those who love trekking, there is the Sendero Verde (Green Trail) that connects the Visitors Centre to the Cataratas Station and to the Upper Circuit.
Once you are at the Devil’s Throat Station you will have to walk for 1.100 meters on a flat catwalk built over the Upper Iguassu River. This catwalk crosses several islands. Once you get to the end of the catwalks, you will be surprised by a strategic lookout point resting on the side of the gorgeous Devil’s Throat.
Going up river in these boats specially prepared to get to the base of Iguassu Falls and to be able to admire and feel them from up close. Whirlpools, waves and currents provoked by the Falls make this an unmissable part of any visit to the park.
Your guide will bring you to the starting point where large trucks specially adapted to this tour will take you and the other visitors to explore six kilometres in the humid subtropical forest as far as the banks of the Iguazu River, downstream from the Falls. From here you will board special high powered Zodiac boats that will take you, at high speed, to enjoy one of the most unforgettable experiences in the region: the direct and wet contact with the mighty Iguassu Falls. After this incredible trip participants will get off the boat at the base of the Falls, on catwalk that connects to the lower visitation circuit of the Falls. Remember we can always organize you one of our privately-guided tours (history, culture, art...) to more specialist excursions such as personal shopping trips, helicopter tours, wine tasting and tango lessons. Feel free to discuss your options with your travel designer.
Your guide will meet you at your hotel and bring you (with private vehicle) on a fascinating half-day private tour of the elegant turn-of-the-century districts that earned Buenos Aires the soubriquet of the Paris of South America. Including a trip to La Boca district in the South and then up to the charming cobbled alleys and colonial architecture of San Telmo. Along to the Plaza de Mayo, up the leafy Avenida de Mayo towards the imposing grandeur of the Palace of Congress and then on to the historically fascinating Recoleta Cemetery, you will discover the facts, stories and anecdotes that make up the colourful tapestry of the history of Buenos Aires.
Tours can be extended to include la Boca, Shopping, the Colon Opera house etc.
Located on the western side of the Plaza de Mayo, this is the Argentine National Congress and the legislative branch of the government of Argentina, made up of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.
Plaza de Mayo in the central area of Buenos Aires is dominated by the Casa Rosada (Government House), the Nación Bank, the Cathedral and original Parliament House
It might seem strange to visit a cemetery, but Recoleta doesn't fail to impress. Many mausoleums and tombs are the work of famous artists, seventy graves have been declared national monuments, but perhaps the most famous for our visitors will be the tomb of Evita Perón.
This is where the famous Caminito Street lies, scarcely 100 metres long, yet very much an emblematic post-card of the city. Designed by the Italian-Argentine artist Benito Quinquela Martín at a disused rail port terminal just beyond the iron cantilevered Puente de la Boca which bridges the river, it is a short yet busy pedestrian alley of brightly-painted houses which cluster above the cobblestones. The sheets of corrugated-iron shimmer with glossy blues, reds, yellows and greens and recall the original colours of the leftover paint with which the dockworkers painted their homes in the 19th century.
Enjoy the best tango show in town, set in the exclusive environs of the Faena Hotel. The Rojo tango is the smallest and most stylish of tango salons. Your evening includes a three course dinner, wine, and transfers to and from the venue.

Buenos Aires city tour Your guide will meet you at your hotel and bring you (with private vehicle) on a fascinating half-day private tour of the elegant turn-of-the-century districts that earned Buenos Aires the soubriquet of the Paris of South America.
|
|
Palace of Congress Located on the western side of the Plaza de Mayo, this is the Argentine National Congress and the legislative branch of the government of Argentina, made up of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. |
|
Plaza del Mayo Plaza de Mayo in the central area of Buenos Aires is dominated by the Casa Rosada (Government House), the Nación Bank, the Cathedral and original Parliament House |
|
Recoleta Cemetery It might seem strange to visit a cemetery, but Recoleta doesn't fail to impress. Many mausoleums and tombs are the work of famous artists, seventy graves have been declared national monuments, but perhaps the most famous for our visitors will be the tomb of Evita Perón. |
|
La Boca This is where the famous Caminito Street lies, scarcely 100 metres long, yet very much an emblematic post-card of the city. |
|
Rojo tango show including dinner Enjoy the best tango show in town, set in the exclusive environs of the Faena Hotel. The Rojo tango is the smallest and most stylish of tango salons. Your evening includes a three course dinner, wine, and transfers to and from the venue. |
