Java

Ijen Resort and Villas

Made up of just 37 rooms all with views across terraced rice paddies and a row of volcanoes, Ijen is an intimate hotel immersed in the dramatic topography of eastern Java. Set within four hectares of landscaped gardens, this resort is ideally located for visiting the Ijen Crater Lake and also benefits from with 360-degree panoramic views of volcanoes, rice fields, rainforest and even the ocean. Other attractions such as the region’s small rural villages, national parks and old colonial plantations, are close to hand also. The Glenmore restaurant serves a choice of European, Indonesian and East Javanese cuisine, and there is an intimate bar on the grounds. Cool off in the mountain spring swimming pool and perhaps opt for a traditional massage after mountain trekking.

Raja Ampat

Leyla

Leyla is a classic 30-metre phinisi-style yacht, built to echo the style and comfort of her sister yacht, Mantra. She launched in late 2018. Leyla’s four ensuite guest cabins are contemporary, comfortable and spacious. Each features a queen-size bed and either one or two additional side beds, accommodating eight people in total comfort and an additional two guests if using the single bunks. The boat also features an indoor lounge, library and dining area, while out on deck there’s additional dining space and a large lounger on the top deck for soaking up the sun. Leyla is well equipped with snorkelling and dive gear for those seeking to explore the underwater world. Your crew of seven includes a captain, cruise director, dive master and chef.

Plataran Borobudur

Start your day watching the sun creep over the ornate beauty of Borobudur Temple from the deck of this peaceful hotel. Enveloped in lush forests and mountains, Plataran Borobudur is found in central Java just five minutes from the renowned ancient temple, boasting spectacular views. This tranquil escape is designed with Indonesian style. Dark, polished wood and traditional pieces of art grace the spacious rooms which house lavish four poster beds, while villas enjoy private pools and gardens. With a soothing mood, Plataran Borobudur encourages its guests to truly relax with its concept of detoxification which is chiefly carried out at the spa and yoga club.
