At a glance

This holiday to Argentina really is a showcase of the best wildlife habitats in the country, while staying at some of the most unique and authentic luxury accommodation.

Take in the magnificent natural splendour of Iguassu waterfalls and the tropical wildlife of the National Park. You’ll get to explore the various wooden walk ways that lead through the national park close up to the many chutes of the falls and even take a boat trip close to their base.

Enjoy time with expert guides seeking out a whole range of birds and mammals in the lesser known wetlands of Esteros Del Ibera. See penguins, sea lions and whales amongst other wildlife on the coast of Peninsula Valdes. Explore the southern Patagonian beaches by horse back, take boat safaris, go diving, follow fossil trails, spend time bird watching and cycling.

Before you head home, relax in Buenos Aires, where we can book you into one of the city’s finest restaurants or a tango show of your choice. All the carefully selected exclusive and private wildlife tours will allow you to take things at your own pace and see what you are most interested in.

Full-day private tour of the Argentinean side of Iguassu Falls including a boat trip Full-day private tour of the Argentinean side of Iguassu Falls including a boat trip

A stunning tour of the falls, where you get a chance to really get up close to the falls.

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and bring you by private vehicle to the entrance of the park on the Argentinian side. You'll then be taking the rest of the tour mainly on foot. Exploring the various wooden walk ways that lead through the national park close up to the many chutes of the falls.

One of the most spectacular sites of the falls is the 'devil's throat' which sees the largest flow of water. In order to visit the Devil’s Throat, the visitor must board the train at the Main Station or at the Cataratas Station, close to the Upper Circuit. For those who love trekking there is the one-kilometre-long Sendero Verde (Green Trail) that connects the Visitors Centre to the Cataratas Station and to the Upper Circuit.

Once you are at the Devil’s Throat Station you will have to walk for 1.100 meters on a flat catwalk built over the Upper Iguassu River. This catwalk crosses several islands. Once you get to the end of the catwalks, you will be surprised by a strategic lookout point resting on the side of the gorgeous Devil’s Throat.

Boat trip to the base of Iguassu Falls Boat trip to the base of Iguassu Falls

Going up river in these boats specially prepared to get to the base of Iguassu Falls and to be able to admire and feel them from up close. Whirlpools, waves and currents provoked by the Falls make this an unmissable part of any visit to the park.

Your guide will bring you to the starting point where large trucks specially adapted to this tour will take you and the other visitors to explore six kilometres in the humid subtropical forest as far as the banks of the Iguazu River, downstream from the Falls. From here you will board special high powered Zodiac boats that will take you, at high speed, to enjoy one of the most unforgettable experiences in the region: the direct and wet contact with the mighty Iguassu Falls. After this incredible trip participants will get off the boat at the base of the Falls, on catwalk that connects to the lower visitation circuit of the Falls. This tour can be started in the reverse direction, from this catwalk downwards ending with the jungle truck ride.
