Days 1–3
Two nights in Rio de Janeiro
Spend your first two days in the heady ‘Marvellous City’, where you can explore and enjoy Rio de Janeiro at your leisure. Brazil’s second largest city, it is often mistaken as its capital, for the richness of its culture found here. Explore the colourful streets which host the famous annual carnival. Enjoy the breathtaking views from atop the Corcovado mountain just underneath the shade of Christ the Redeemer, or stroll the famed Copacabana beach that sets this city apart from any other. With man-made sites of significance such as the Maracanã stadium, alongside sites of natural beauty such as Sugar Loaf Mountain, there is plenty to fill your time and make your stay in Rio de Janeiro one to remember.

Here, deep in the Brazilian Amazon, you’ll experience a range of incredible activities, such as canoeing through waterways, fishing for piranhas, guided hikes, wildlife spotting and much more. You’ll also visit isolated indigenous communities to learn about village life in the rainforest.

Days 6–9
Three nights in The Pantanal
Spend your days exploring the planet’s largest wetland area, The Pantanal. Spot abundant and varied wildlife, and marvel at its vast collection of ecosystems and rich flora.

A day with the Jaguar Habituation Team

This full day excursion places you at the heart of the Jaguar Habituation Team and allows you to see their work in action. Head out with the Team as they search for nocturnal jaguars, looking for clues that will point you to the coming night’s activity. Check previously set camera traps for any sign of them, look for tracks on the ground and try to locate kills that jaguars might have made during the previous night. You may also have a chance to experience tracking on foot with our expertly African trained trackers. Head back out after sunset to use the information gathered during the day to track the active jaguars by night.
Days 9–10
Overnight in Sao Paulo
Explore the nation-sized city of São Paulo, recognised as the heart of modern Brazil. The city’s history of immigration has helped to create its cosmopolitan and multicultural identity, something you’ll discover in everything from its food to its music, ensuring it’s one of the world’s most evocative cities. Your days are free to explore and you’ll have our recommendations of excellent restaurants and bars to make the most of your stay.

Days 10–13
Wonderful wildlife in Ibitipoca
Venture off the beaten track for your final stop of the trip: Ibitipoca State Park. It’s a haven for different varieties of flora and fauna, as well as plenty of wildlife thanks to thirty years of conservation and regeneration projects. Your travel designer can organise private guided wildlife expeditions according to your interests, giving you the opportunity to spot wild boars, toucans, jaguars, pumas and 33 species of monkeys.
