Terrestrial wildlife, underwater adventures and idyllic beaches
Mozambique borders four of the best countries in Africa for safaris – Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa – so it’s no surprise that this coastal nation is also a wonderful choice for wildlife lovers. With more than a dozen national parks and reserves encompassing both land and sea, there are endless opportunities to observe magnificent animals in their natural habitats.
One of the country’s most famous national parks is Gorongosa, home to lions, elephants, leopards, painted wolves, antelope, crocodiles, hippos and many other notable species. Another is Maputo National Park, where you can find giraffes, buffalo, zebras, spotted hyenas and more. We can organise private and personalised game drives, walking safaris and boat trips to create your ideal wildlife viewing experience.
On the marine side, the Bazaruto Archipelago and Quirimbas Archipelago stand out for their coral reefs and extraordinary array of marine life, including dolphins, whales, sharks, dugongs, sea turtles, manta rays and brilliant tropical fish. The islands and coastlines of Mozambique also boast beautiful white sand beaches, making this the perfect place to combine bush and beach for a balance of adventure and relaxation.
Our travel designers specialise in creating bespoke itineraries that bring together spectacular wildlife encounters, some of the world’s most renowned snorkelling and diving destinations and the best safari lodges in Mozambique. Speak with us to start crafting a Mozambique safari holiday that will exceed even your wildest expectations.
