Many of the best tropical family vacation destinations can be visited year round, as temperatures stay nice and warm throughout the year. Some places have distinct rainy and dry seasons; in this case, we generally recommend travelling during the dry season for sunny skies and pleasant weather.
The best time for family trips to Southeast Asia is November–April, while African islands like Zanzibar and Mauritius offer ideal weather from around May/June to September/October. Belize and most of Costa Rica experience the dry season from December to April/May.
