Family Trips and Safaris to Botswana

Inspired Luxury travel to Botswana, designed for you

An Epic and very Unique African Adventure to the Highest of Standards and Seamless Planning

Botswana’s diverse landscapes, from the watery-world of the Okavango Delta to its desert-like Salt Pans, make for some of the most unique safaris and family adventures to be had in all of Africa.

We would say Botswana is a country better suited to older families as the choices for young families here are quite limited given the remote locations, age restrictions at the accommodation, and the level of travelling involved with many of its destinations. Nevertheless, we have a great portfolio of family-friendly lodges, camps and villas in Botswana that have kids clubs and special activities for younger children so please speak to one of our safari designers.

Botswana is the home of the truly versatile safari: explore the landscapes and encounter the wildlife by air, boat or even on the back of an elephant as well as the experiences tied up in the luxury and authentic accommodation (private riverside villas, tented camps, and stellar lodges).

Here at Jacada we have extensive experience in dealing with family holidays as well as a comprehensive knowledge of Botswana so your personal safari designer will advise and recommend on the best places to stay and tours to be had. They will shoulder the detailed planning and a personal itinerary organised to the highest of standards.

See our example family trips below, or we can help to design one from scratch.

Whatever you want from your Africa tour, our team of expert travel designers are ready to help.

When to go

June through to October are the best game viewing months as the climate is very dry and the water begins to recede, making the animals congregate in smaller areas. It can be quite hot in October though.

Meet your Africa Team

Exploring the South African Winelands is a common weekend activity for me. As a local, I tend to steer clear of the ‘touristy’ estates and I have found quite a few favourites so far.

As a keen traveller, I have an intimate knowledge of South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia and southern Mozambique, as well as Uganda, Rwanda, and even Virunga National Park in DR Congo.

Ask me about flying over the flamingos on Lake Bagoria.

I was born in Tanzania and grew up in Kenya, where I developed a genuine love of the people, landscapes and wildlife of this beautiful country.

Some of my most memorable travel experiences include kayaking in Antarctica, horse-back riding in El Calafate in Argentina, gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda, climbing Africa’s highest mountain Kilimanjaro and getting up close and personal with polar bears in arctic Canada.

Over the past 10 years, I have reported from nearly 70 countries, including Greenland, Brazil, Namibia, South Africa, Kenya, Bhutan, Nepal, the Seychelles, Bali, Thailand, and elsewhere around South-East Asia.
