Namibia's dunes and Botswana's delta: a journey of contrasts
Vast expanses of sand glow orange beneath the desert sun and majestic dunes swoop gracefully down to the waves of the Atlantic – Namibia is a breathtaking country. These striking desert scenes are made all the more spectacular when you combine them with the lush deltas of neighbouring Botswana. Combining these two nations allows you to experience the full spectrum of Africa’s natural wonders, creating a journey of profound contrasts that few other regions can match. By bridging the gap between the world’s oldest desert and its largest inland delta, you witness a masterclass in adaptation.
From memorable sightings of wandering herds of desert-adapted elephants in Damaraland, to huge groups of animals, and their predators, gathering at watering holes in the Okavango Delta, a trip that takes in the best of both countries is a moving celebration of the extreme beauty of the African continent.
Immerse yourself in meaningful cultural experiences by visiting local villages and spending time with the Himba community. Head out on guided bush walks in Botswana’s exclusive Selinda Private Reserve, or explore the Hoanib Riverbed in Namibia for rare sightings of desert-adapted elephants, lions and giraffes. The Linyanti region offers unparalleled opportunities to spot large predators roaming its lush lagoons. And considers concluding your extraordinary travels by venturing deep off the beaten track into the dramatic, vast expanse of the magnificent Fish River Canyon.
You will have your pick of the most luxurious accommodations and access to some of the best activities and experiences on your safari to Botswana and Namibia.
