Romance and adventure await on your Portugal honeymoon

Portugal is one of Europe’s most magical destinations, offering an incredible variety of experiences. Wander through Lisbon‘s muddle of terracotta rooftops, sample historic vintages at the port houses of Porto, and take in the breathtaking scenery of the lush Douro Valley.

Our team of experts is ready to help you discover this quieter part of Europe. We’ll connect you with knowledgeable local guides who will invite you into hidden courtyards, take you on intimate wine tasting adventures and onto private boats to create a most memorable beginning to this new chapter of your lives together.

It is quieter than some of its neighbouring European countries with a slower pace of life, adding to its allure as a relaxing honeymoon destination. Your trip will combine celebrated landmarks with the authentic, behind-the-scenes access and luxury accommodation. And it’s easy to combine Portugal with either Spain or Morocco, adding even more adventure to your honeymoon.

Head to the Algarve to unwind on the soft sand, dine on fish fresh from the sea and walk hand-in-hand through the gentle surf. If you’re feeling adventurous, hire some boards and catch a wave or two, before spending an evening mingling with the locals in a cosy tasquinha nearby.

Step back in time into a medieval fairy-tale as you stroll along the picturesque streets of Monsaraz, or let your imaginations take flight at some of the country’s most impressive palaces. For those that like the culture and buzz of a city, Lisbon and Porto will not disappoint. If you’re looking to completely relax and unwind, you couldn’t do better than the Six Senses Douro Valley. The properties look out over the vineyards and the winding Douro River, and the service here is second to none.

Spend time soaking up the romance of the countryside, exploring the cities, savoring an excellent culinary experience, or starting your new life together with some adrenaline-fuelled outdoor activities. Get in touch to start planning your luxury Portugal honeymoon itinerary.
