The happiest times of my life are when I’m on the road. Being a travel ‘addict’, you never stop wanting to spend your whole life exploring this beautiful world.
When crossing Europe to Asia on the Trans-Siberian railway years ago, I particularly enjoyed spending my time on the road in the former Soviet Union countries. Following in the footsteps of Marco Polo, I spent 13 months crossing China to Central Asia and into Turkey along the Silk Road. Each republic has its own joy and uniqueness for travellers – I was amazed by the rural outback in Kazakhstan and the unrivalled mountain scenery in Tajikistan, was touched by the incredible tradition of hospitality among the Kyrgyzstan locals, became immersed in the history of Uzbekistan and was fascinated by the ‘door of hell’ in Turkmenistan. I totally fell in love with the world.
Happiness is only real when shared. I’m thrilled to be part of the Jacada family, and when I return to Hong Kong I always enjoy the opportunity to ‘share’.
