On the banks of the banks of the Balsamand Lake, this beautiful red sandstone palace was built in the 17th century and served as the summer residence for maharajas escaping the busy city in the summer.

Set in a 60-acre private estate and surrounded by lime and pomegranate trees this is a quiet and tranquil spot, with the vibrant city of Jodhpur just 8km away.

There are ten suites as well as 26 garden rooms, each with their own rose garden. The decor is traditionally Rajput with alcoves, beautifully carved dark wood and Indian fabrics. Chaise lounges by the windows look out over the manicured gardens and there are large Jacuzzi baths in which to sink at the end of the day.

Enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in the garden restaurant and relax with a drink in the lounge while admiring the beautiful Indian design and artefacts. The gardens are perfect for strolling and if you fancy venturing further afield there are plenty of activities such a horse riding, nature walks and visits to the sand dunes to keep you busy.
