Japan’s fourth largest city after Tokyo, Yokohama and Osaka, Nagoya is of its major economic and industrial centres.

Though having its historic buildings all but wiped out during the 1940s, it’s central caste was rebuilt and the city is still home to Toyota, as well as the factories of Honda and Mitsubishi.

For an industrial centre, there is still a surprising amount of culture, such a number of museums, galleries and gardens, and there are even tours inside the pristine car plants.
