Jacada Travel was a godsend for planning my trip to South Africa and neighboring countries. They were thoroughly professional, amazingly responsive and had all the right connections on the ground. The trip went very smoothly, and in particular the transitions from airports to destinations were seamless and quick. I would use them again and highly recommend them.

I do not normally write reviews but, when one receives absolutely top class service, then it warrants taking the time to share it with others.
We were in Argentina late April and had booked return flights for over 4 weeks later. I was attending a conference and would be in Buenos Aries for 10 days and had a wish list of what we would like to do for the reamaining time. I spent a considerable time researching those agents who looked as though they had some expertise in South America. Whilst Jacada was a company I had not heard of previously I contacted them for some suggestions. They were very efficient in their response and after a number of telephone calls were able to send me a proposed itinerary covering Chile, Bolivia and Peru. All that I had on my wish list was included and we had no hesitation in placing our booking albeit the company was not known to us nor was recommended by friends.
I can only say that all we could possibly have desired was delivered and more. We have had the great fortune to travel throughout the world and can only say that this was the best organised trip we have ever been on. All worked seamlessly. We had private guides and drivers throughout and they were of the highest standard. The guides were all enormously experienced and highly qualified and the drivers were amazing particularly having regard to the most incredible roads/ llama routes we travelled at high altitude. It was what we would describe as the trip of a lifetime and neither of us would describe that lightly. Needless to say some things can go wrong and that occurred when we were in Cusco and due to travel to Machu Picchu the next day. There is some understandable dissatisfaction by the workers about what is happening with the government and they called a strike at short notice. This involved closing off all roads in and out of Cusco. Although this was not anything our agents could control, the office in London worked closely with the office in Lima and all that could be done by way of damage limitation to our trip was done at very short notice. We are so grateful for their kindness and, most of all professionalism, in sorting everything so as to enable us to complete our trip.
Our main contact was Jacob Jewitt -Jalland in London who kept in contact with us throughout, Romanet in the Santiago Office and Claudia in the Lima Office. We thank them for their professionalism and superb organisation. Our main guides were Marcel in Bolivia, Sylvia and Jose in Peru. Our sincere thanks to them for their kindness, knowledge and passion for their countries and for making sure we enjoyed our epic trip to South America.

I’ve always been impressed with the originality and authentic experiences that Jacada provides to any destination I choose for travel. Their itinerary for Morocco, of which I was just able to experience, hit the high bar they’ve always set for themselves and me. My Husband Mike and I worked with Kate to design an 18 day honeymoon. We traveled on our own to China and met up with Jacada for 2 weeks in Thailand and Cambodia. Jacada arranged my south-america trip tailored to all my requests within a week, including accommodation, tour guides, airport pickup and local tours. During my trip, they were constantly communicating with the local offices to make sure everything went well and I was greeted with a heart-warming note from Jacada in every destination. They were so professional that they monitored every flights that I was going to take, and when one of my local flights was cancelled during the LATAM strike and I had no way to know as I was deep in the Chilean Patagonia, they tried every way to get in touch with me and they had already arranged an alternative so that I could catch my international flight home (Otherwise, I might end up stuck in an airport in south Chile and missed my flight home to Hong Kong as well). My wife & I toured Indochina (Vietnam & Cambodia) over 18 days. It six destinations, nine flights, two boats & several tuk tuks.
We experienced superb personal concierge service every step of the way from flight arrival to baggage claim to transportation to obtaining permits to tours and tour guides. The minute you step off your international/arriving flight Jacada had everything covered, I mean everything. And everything was completely PRIVATE, no large groups, buses and stragglers.
Local guides & drivers were unbelievable, knowledgeable, helpful and gracious. As well as spoke excellent English which was good because our Vietnamese & Cambodian wasn’t so good.
Each hotel was hand picked and was truly Five Star. Every time we checked in we got VIP service and treatment. Rooms were impecable, unique, and represented the area’s culture and style.
The entire trip/site went without a single problem. Not a single delay, or closure, or missed transportation, absolutely perfectly executed.

Our anniversary trip to Bali was such a great experience. We would use Jacada Travel again to assist us for future trips. Keith listened to our requests and made several suggestions for resorts, day trips, activities and restaurants to meet our needs. On Keith’s recommendation we split our stay between the Belmond Jimbaran Puri for some relaxation on the beach and then The Chedi Club in Ubud for some quiet cultural exposure. Jacada planned a fabulous tour of Southeast Asia for my daughter and I. We had a guide at every location with a private transfer. The trip itinerary included the perfect amount of guided time and free time. All of our guides as well as Jacada made recommendations of things to do and places to eat during our free time. Our tours included a number of off the beaten track venues which was an added bonus. Additionally, our guides changed the tours at times to meet our requests. We had knowledgeable guides who were local to the area we visited which made each tour very special and memorable. Jacada did an outstanding job planning our vacation. The itinerary perfectly balanced exposure to, and gaining knowledge of local cultures with the creature comforts westerners are accustomed to. We had an outstanding experience with Jacada on our trip to Chile in April 2018 (Santiago, the Atacama Desert, Valparaiso, and wine country.)
They did an excellent job of setting up our flights, guides, and car trips inside the country, and of answering various questions along the way.
They especially outdid themselves in setting us up with Phototour in Valparaiso, whose young proprietors talked with us in depth about the Pinochet era of military dictatorship in 1973-1990 and Chile’s resumption of democratic rule thereafter. We were especially interested in this as Americans resisting the Trump administration, and wanted to talk to thoughtful Chileans about the history of their resistance strategies instead of just going to the Human Rights Museum in Santiago (which we did.) Our guides were very well-informed about this history — their families had suffered under Pinochet — and it was fascinating to get their perspective first-hand. I’m grateful we had the opportunity to talk at length with young Chileans instead of just tromping around looking at things. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jacada to travelers wanting a deeper experience of a country.
From initial inquiry to end of our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, the entire experience was exceptional. Our agent, Keith was extremely professional and helpful in adjusting a private tour to fit our interests. No detail was missed. As an example, our food preferences were communicated to our guides and were fulfilled everywhere–in Hanoi on a street food tour, on an isolated river or at a dinner in a country villa in Cambodia. Our guides were knowledgeable and accommodating and made sure we had the most complete experience at every stop.

Excellent experience with Jacada, through a complex custom itinerary of private drivers and guides. One minor snafu with train tickets, that was dealt with quickly and efficiently. The rest of a nine-day trip in Portugal and Spain was flawless. Three out of four hotels were excellent, the other was good.

This was a vacation with many moving parts and a lot of logistics. Yet, everything worked like a charm and all connections worked without a hitch. This allowed us to enjoy our journey from S. Africa, through Namibia, on to Botswana and finally to Zimbabwe and Zambia without requiring us to run down loose ends. And all hosts were amazing. Truly a memorable vacation!
