Salkantay - Lodge to Lodge, Peru
Mountain Lodges of Peru

Trek the Inca Trail with a Succession of Comfortable Mountain Lodges
Each of these luxury lodges in this Andean mountain has been newly constructed at strategic points along the trek to provide extremely comfortable and well serviced lodgings with hot water, large beds and excellent Andean cuisine. The design and comfort of the different lodges is the similar throughout making for a relaxing and regenerating stay after each daytime trek. Three of the four lodges have outdoor hot tubs to relax in after your day’s trekking.
Constructed from stone, wood, mud-brick and thatch, with soft curves and just a handful of rooms the lodges are very sympathetic to their surrounds, despite their comfort and luxury. It’s hard to even see them from a distance and the logistics of their construction is mind-boggling, with many of the materials carried to these remote locations by mule and pack-horse.
These lodges really are unique in the opportunity they offer for those interested in exploring this unique terrain without camping. The guiding is excellent and all meals are provided including picnic lunches during the day.
The first two nights are spent in Soraypampa Lodge and the last night at a hotel in Squas Calientes/Machu Picchu. The four lodges on the trail were built with local communities.
