    Private Salkantay Trek (3D2N)

A fantastic private trek that passes Inca ruins and offers spectacular scenery and nature

This amazing trek runs beneath the sacred Salkantay mountain, which at over 6,000m (19,685 feet) is one of the highest in the Peruvian Andes.

The start of your private trek offers stunning views of the surrounding glaciers and the snow-capped peaks of the Vilcabamba Range. Walking along the Salkantay River you’ll pass lush vegetation, waterfalls, passion fruit and coffee plantations before entering a cloud forest, filled with trees.

By day two you will have trekked past the waterfalls at Coripacchi, the settlement at Wiñaypoko and the bustling small town of La Playa on your way to the territory of the spectacled bear.

Passing through Quechua communities and lesser-known Inca ruins, you’ll reach Aguas Calientes on the third day, ready to explore the incomparable ruins of Machu Picchu.
