Tucked away on the edge of the beautiful village of Franschhoek, La Clé des Montagnes is a short walk from the pavement café mood of the village center, yet situated on a working wine estate surrounded by picturesque vineyards.
Designed by Jacques Erasmus of Hemelhujis, modern styling meets the classic charm of a traditional Cape Dutch home. There are five double en-suite bedrooms, flowing interiors, a large country kitchen, communal dining area, tennis court, private pool and terrace with expansive vineyards views. Guests can also engage with the chef, observing and enjoying the meals as they are prepared.
The owners of La Clé des Montagnes are foundation sponsors of The Kusasa Project, a local community organization that serves 1500 children in five local schools in the underprivileged community of Franschhoek. Through their sponsorship of The Franschhoek Art & Conservation Route, La Clé supports Poached Rhino – an organization dedicated to increasing security and legal protection of rhinos.
