Set on a private 50,000 acre-wide conservancy in Laikipia, Governors' Mugie allows you to explore the vast landscape and come face-to-face with the rare northern rangeland species that call this place home.

A breathtaking 45-minute private flight from Nairobi, Ol Jogi is a stunning private lodge in the Kenyan bush which boasts sweeping views of Mt Kenya. It is nestled in a protective rock outcrop surrounding by lush green lawns and trees. Enjoy all the comforts of home, and rest assured that the team is on hand to ensure your are comfortable. Ol Jogi can accommodate 14 guests in seven private residences, each with its own style and decor.

Whether you fancy an early-morning horse ride, or a relaxing session at the spa, there are plenty of activities to fill your days. Unwind in the shared spaces, or retreat to a more private spot for some quiet reflection. The area is home to a variety of wildlife including several endangered and rare species, so viewing either on walks or drives with experienced rangers is bound to be rewarding.

Enjoy open-air dining with spectacular views, or curl up in front of a cosy fire or hide away in a reading nook.  There are waterfalls and sculpted gardens to explore, as well as an inviting swimming pool where you can cool off.

Situated on the northern edge of the Laikipia plateau, the family-owned Ol Malo House is built on the edge of a rugged escarpment looking out across the timeless lands of Kenya’s Northern Frontier District.

Ideal for exclusive groups or families Ol Malo House has three double bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms well as a large sitting and dining room with fireplace. Three further bedrooms can be found in two separate cottages, meaning that the whole property can comfortably cater for 12 guests, with plenty more room for young ones.

Decor is inspired by the area’s wild landscape, local flora and the life and culture of the Samburu people. Lighting handmade by the Samburu women creates a warm ambience and welcoming atmosphere and a flagstone path leads to a large open area overlooking the infinity pool, fringed by palms and this incredible land’s wide-open vistas. A barbecue area creates a wonderful place in which to end the day under a star-studded sky.

On offer whilst staying are walking safaris, camel and horse rides, mountain biking, picnics by the river, game drives, plenty of chances to meet the the local Samburu tribe and sleep outs in the Look Out by a waterhole which is visited by a variety of wildlife.
