Borana Conservancy
Borana Laragai House

Ideal for a Bush House Party
Situated 17 miles north of the equator, Laragai House is set in the private Borana Ranch, a 35000 acre property with a high density of wildlife including large packs of wild dog, a healthy number of rhino and predators such as leopard, lion and cheetah. A sister property to Borana Lodge, this entirely private and exclusive house has eight en-suite bedrooms, two of which have their own fireplace. They share a magnificent heated swimming pool with a deck that overlook the dam which attracts high numbers of elephants and buffalo.
This place is ideal for a ‘house party’ in the African Bush and perfect for families or large groups who want to explore this stunning area in absolute privacy.
The Dyer family who own the lodge and have done for three generations have a passion for conservation projects and this will be a large focus for any visit to this pretty place. The focus is really on education, poverty alleviation and employment, health and of course, wildlife management and conservation.
The exposure to these projects is an excellent talking point and the activities available to you are practically limitless. You have access to the vast expanse of the ranch and the excellent game within it, whether on game drives, horseback or by mountain bike. For the sporty, a clay tennis court is a great way to while away the afternoon or for the truly adventurous you could embark on a guided bush walk.

Places to combine Borana Laragai House with

Borana Conservancy
Perched majestically overlooking a serene lake, Borana Lodge offers a front-row seat to nature’s grand spectacle. Here, elephants and buffalos gather in abundance, drawn to the shimmering waters, while Mount Kenya stands sentinel in the distance.
Across the plains of the Borana Conservancy, large packs of wild dogs roam freely, along with the stealthy presence of leopards, lions and cheetahs.
Owned by the Dyer family for three generations, Borana Lodge pulsates with a palpable passion for conservation. Every corner of this retreat whispers tales of their dedication to preserving the wilderness they call home.
Eight rustic cottages, each a haven of tranquility, offer unparalleled views of the Laikipia wilderness and the tranquil dam below. As dusk descends and the chill of the African night sets in, gather around a crackling fire, serenaded by the symphony of the bush, and let the magic of the wild weave its spell.
In the heart of the lodge, an infinity pool beckons, inviting guests to surrender to the rhythm of the savannah.
