Every Jacada trip is tailored to your personal preferences and interests. Below you’ll find a sample itinerary to inspire your own custom-designed journey.
Days 1–4
Welcome to Mexico City
Mexico City stands on the ruins of Tenochtitlán, once the Aztec capital, reshaped by Spanish colonization and centuries of urban growth. The city’s festivals, architecture and museums – like the Museo Nacional de Antropología and Museo Soumaya – reflect its wide cultural scope, plus the food scene is exceptional.

Discover Xochimilico
This UNESCO World Heritage site is famous for its network of canals and traditional trajineras (brightly painted flat-bottomed boats). Take an expert-led guided boat tour and learn about the Aztec’s ingenious technique for growing food on the fertile riverbeds, known as chinampas.

Visit the National Museum of Anthropology
An exclusive after-hours experience, you will be expertly guided through the museum’s incredible collection, including the massive 24-tonne Aztec Sunstone discovered beneath the city’s main square in 1790. You’ll also explore replica temples, see King Pakal’s tomb from Palenque and discover the ancient Mesoamerican ball game – all without the usual crowds.
Days 4–7
Tours and tastings in Valle de Guadalupe
From Mexico City you’ll take a flight to Tijuana and enjoy a private transfer to Valle de Guadalupe, in the heart of the Baja California Peninsula. Hemmed in by mountains and with a Mediterranean microclimate, Valle de Guadalupe is Mexico’s premier wine region and lends itself to slow exploration and farm-to-table dining.
