This little boutique hotel is a tranquil and atmospheric oasis in the bustling city of Guadalajara. The manager and staff are really warm and welcoming, and being located in the desirable Zona Rosa, the hotel enjoys easy access to some of the city’s best shops, bars and restaurants.
The building was built in the 1930s to the classic style of European architecture but today its owner has added an intimate bohemian finish and romantic feel to the hotel. There are ten guest rooms and ten suites here, each named after a character from acclaimed Mexican author Juan Rulfo’s most famous novel, Pedro Paramo. All of the rooms assume an elegant and comfortable decoration, and the Grand Master Suites are particularly lovely.
Other spaces within the property include a peaceful indoor garden and terrace, where you can enjoy a romantic breakfast. There is no restaurant at the hotel, however its proximity to dozens of fabulous local restaurants means this shouldn’t be an issue. One charming touch is the bar in the dining room, which is available for guests to serve themselves a complimentary beverage.
