Occupying an elegant and imposing art deco building in an exclusive Mayfair neighbourhood, The Beaumont brings the intimate feel and personable hospitality of the grandest early twentieth-century hotels right up to the present.
101 guest rooms – including twelve suites and seventeen studios – continue the chic deco theme with vintage artwork, marble bathrooms and state-of-the-art technology.
Sat, quite literally, on the hotel’s frontage like a contemplative robot, artist Antony Gormley’s ROOM is both a piece of sculpture and unique suite, described by the artist as ‘a cave, a tomb, a womb or a padded cell’.
The Beaumont was the vision of renowned London restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King of Corbin & King, so dining unsurprisingly takes centre stage. The Colony Grill Room, the all-day dining centrepiece, offers Anglo-American classics from the early to mid-twentieth century, while there are also three private dining areas and two plush lounge bars.
Also on site is the Hamam and Spa, inspired by the Turkish baths at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall and the original New York YMCA, salon and gymnasium.
