Dilijan, Armenia
Dilijazz Hotel

A contemporary retreat in Dilijan with a lively jazz restaurant
Dilijazz Hotel is located on the edge of Dilijan National Park, often referred to as the Switzerland of Armenia. Its elevated position looks out across woodland, with greenery visible through big windows from the lobby and the private terraces. The rooms are clean and contemporary, using wood, stone and styled in soft neutral tones. Many include balconies or terrace space to take in the mountain air.
The Dilijazz restaurant serves a mix of international and local specialities, such as arishta – an Armenian pasta dish – khachapuri and grilled quail, as well as a large selection of local Armenian wines to sample. The hotel takes its name from the lively jazz sessions held regularly in the dining room. For leisure, there is an indoor, sea-salt swimming pool that is heated in winter and kept cool in summer, as well as a Jacuzzi, a gym and two saunas, including one set out in the forest. Spa treatments include massage, lymphatic drainage and Korean wellness treatments.
The main draw of the region is the medieval Haghartsin Monastery – burial site of the Bagratuni kings – which is only a ten-minute drive away. Beyond the front door, you have access to the national park’s network of hiking trails and the scenic Parz Lake for boating, swimming and zip lining.
