    The Calile

Pastel pink-hued paradise in an urban setting

Inspired by Brisbane’s subtropical climate, this resort-like hotel has been designed to delight. From the scattered palm trees embracing the white exterior to the perfected palette of pastel tones, this millennial dream of an escape lures you away from the bustle.

There are 175 rooms, with views of the city or the pool, and some encompass private balconies and separate living areas. Décor pays homage to 1950s Miami, and airy spaces are enhanced with partially cork-panelled walls, marble flooring, and oak features. Deep, circle-shaped baths, with brass taps, sit in the middle of the rooms, or by the windows, offering dreamy vistas over the treetops.

The pool and spacious deck serve as the main highlight, encircled by striped cabanas, which you can dine and drink in. The lobby bar, with playful fabrics, curved arches and low-hanging lights is where breakfast is served, as well as tipples and light snacks throughout the day. Hellenika, the hotel’s main restaurant, facing the pool, promises a menu of small authentic Greek dishes, ideal for sharing. To work out post-feasting, a fully-equipped fitness centre is positioned on the ground floor, and for further indulgence, a coral-coloured spa will have you breathing easy.

    The Fantauzzo

    Brisbane

    The Fantauzzo

Designed to merge with Brisbane’s striking Story Bridge, this creation of unique architecture and art was inspired by the Australian painter, Vincent Fantauzzo. Spread across six stories, this exceptional hotel exudes creative inspiration around every corner, merging luxurious features with innovation.

With easy access to the city’s trendiest hub, The Fantauzzo features 166 stylishly designed suites, looking out across the river or the promenade. Contemporary furnishings complement muted colour schemes, enhanced by emerald and navy-blue velvet seating and bedding. Fantauzzo’s artwork adorns the walls of both the suites and the communal spaces, and guests can enjoy complimentary art tours with a resident art expert, and access to in-room art channels and libraries.

State-of-the-art facilities include a fully-equipped gym, while the rooftop pool and bar offer an enticing spot to take in the city vistas while making your way through the cocktail menu. The hotel’s restaurant, Polpetta, is an ode to all things authentically Italian in a most casual setting, allowing you to leisurely dine on Rome-inspired delights, paired with a Negroni or two. If you want to venture out into the city, bicycles, scooters, and branded Fiats are available.
