Your first four nights will be spent in the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, a stunning wilderness neighbouring the famous Kruger National Park, only far more exclusive and with even better wildlife viewing. Then, after a night between flights in Johannesburg, head to the Seychelles and the idyllic island of Mahe for a final four blissful nights. Originally a private retreat of the Brink family, Chitwa Chitwa was transformed by Charl into an oasis of conservation and harmony. With an extremely strong approach to conservation and land management, this beautiful lodge offers you a fabulous experience while visiting the Sabi Sands. The Chitwa Trust actively supports the local community through an educare centre as well as adult educational initiative. You’ll also find several environmental programmes in place at the lodge itself.
As a family owned and run lodge, you will receive excellent service as well as comfort when staying here. With just eight luxury suites each stylishly decorated and spacious, this lodge is a nice and intimate experience for family and honeymooner alike.

Overview
Bush Lodge is Sabi Sabi’s flagship accommodation, set deep in the bush overlooking a waterhole and an open plain. Steeped in tradition, with a history spanning over 35 years, the lodge has earned a reputation of a luxury home in the bush, service excellence and effortless personal attention that are synonymous with the wider Sabi Sabi Reserve.
The main lodge is home to the holistic Amani Spa, a well-stocked wine cellar and vast viewing decks that mirror the endless horizon and optimise the watching of wildlife of the nearby waterhole and plains.
The style of the lodge and each thatched suite seeks to echo more of ‘today’s’ tastes with a becoming blend of the modern with ethnic influences and artwork.
Featuring 25 suites in total including 2 Luxury Villas and the Mandleve Presidential Suite with each suite featuring en-suite bathrooms and al-fresco, glass-fronted showers, with wonderful views of the bushveld. The suites are air-conditioned and feature sumptuous linen and classic leather and wood furnishings.
Two spacious Luxury Villas feature a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, second en-suite bedroom, a private pool, library/lounge and beautiful patio facing a waterhole. The Mandleve Presidential Suite features a private plunge pool and luxurious interiors with endless views of the bush.
Safaris take place each morning and evening in open safari vehicles which drive through a wide variety of habitats, allowing visitors to view the vast interactions of the wild. After breakfast, guests on guided walking trails can experience the natural environment on foot.

- As a guest, you help support wide range of conservation efforts to safeguard local flora and fauna, such as rhino de-horning, employing an anti-poaching team, implementing water conservation programmes and monitoring biodiversity and environmental impact.
- Your stay directly contributes to the Sabi Foundation, which partners with local non-profit organisations to provide ongoing targeted support to initiatives such as the Swa Vana Children’s Project and the Dreamfields Sports Programme. Overview
River Lodge is a wonderfully contemporary safari retreat strung along the edge of the winding Sabie River in the Lion Sands Game Reserve, a place rich with birdlife and teeming with game.
There are 20 rooms, including inter-leading suites which a ideal for families and two more private River Suites with fabulous bathrooms. All come with their own private wooden viewing deck looking out over the waterway or bush – you may not have to leave the privacy of your room to see roaming wildlife.
Wooden walkways connect rooms to the welcoming and warm communal areas, with guest congregating around the two swimming pools, boma area, bar lounge and even in the bird hide. There’s also a spa to unwind at between expertly guided game drives or, for a timeless safari experience, venture out into the bush on foot. The reserve also has luxurious tree houses for an unforgettable night out under the stars surrounded by the sounds of the wilderness.

In addition to the big five, this area is crucial for the African wild dog, an endangered species with its highest population of just 3,000 in Southern Africa. Your stay contributes to The Wild Dog Project, an initiative aimed at expanding their habitats, fostering coexistence with human communities, and advocating for legislation to protect and increase the range, number, and status of these animals.
- Your stay directly contributes to the More Community Foundation, funding social initiatives like the Dignity Drive. This project provides reusable and sustainable sanitary care to young girls in low-income communities in South Africa.

Dulini’s privileged position on the banks of the Sand River makes viewing the wildlife that either wallows in it or lingering around it particularly good, especially so when it’s from your own private plunge pool.
Tucked into the western corner of the 65,000-hectare Sabi Sands reserve renowned for its superb volume and quality of game, especially leopard sightings, the Dulini River Lodge’s game drives (morning, afternoon and even night) are led by a team of expert rangers and Shangaan trackers. What’s more, with a maximum of six people per vehicle, the drives are pleasingly exclusive.
