Mara Conservancies, Kenya
Cottar's Bush Villa

Space, privacy and private guiding in the Maasai Mara
Cottar’s Bush Villa sits on a private hilltop in Kenya’s Maasai Mara, looking across the Mara-Serengeti landscape and into the Olderkesi Conservancy. It is an exclusive-use villa with five spacious en-suite bedrooms, open-plan living areas, an infinity pool, outdoor hot tub and expansive viewing decks – ideal for families and small groups.
Days can move entirely at your pace. Head out with your private guide across open savannah, riverine areas and mountain terrain in search of wildlife. You may spot lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and plenty of birdlife. Or stay closer to the villa, watch the landscape shift from the deck and ease into a slower afternoon by the pool.
We especially recommend the coffee tasting, where you try coffees from Rwanda, Ethiopia and Kenya using the siphon method, a slow brewing technique. You can join a wilderness walk or run with a Maasai warrior, learn practical skills at the Maasai Warrior School, or add a private photography experience to help capture the wildlife around you.
Menus are prepared by private chefs using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Enjoy long lunches at the villa, breakfast by the pool, candlelit dinners in the wild and sundowners from one of the viewing decks. The Dugu Dugu roving bar can travel to scenic spots across the conservancy, bringing a vintage Rolls Royce touch to the evening.
