This ultra-luxury masterpiece is designed by celebrated architect Bill Bensley, with hopes to revive the spirit of the Roaring Twenties in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Under Bill Bensley’s meticulous eye, the property was infused with early 20th-century details, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the spirit of the decade as part of a transformative travel experience.

Hoi An

This resort focuses on the conservation of the wildlife in the area, paying special attention to the rare endangered monkeys and the coral reefs, and partaking in an array of programmes to go beyond environmental requirements and support the greater community. Thatched roofs, deep wooden baths and natural linens create an earthy feel that instantly transports you to a feeling of truly being away from it all without compromising on modern comforts of Wi-Fi and fully loaded iPods, on request. The in-villa wine cellar ensures that guests have the perfect accompaniment to their private terrace with panoramic sea views. There are three enticing dining options, such as a romantic eatery, overlooking the beach and a relaxed restaurant by the pool, as well as a wine cave and a cocktail bar. Clean, drinking water is available on-site from a reverse osmosis plant, and plastic bottles are banned from the resort. Guests can also indulge in a variety of activities from hiking and tennis to island hopping and scuba diving in and around the bay. For an indulgent wellness experience, you can try the morning Tai Chi or yoga and take the Cai River excursions to immerse yourself in warm, mineral-rich mud and hot springs.

Mekong River Cruises

Aqua Mekong Cruise

Cruising the cross-border Mekong River, Aqua Expeditions’ new boat has all the luxurious facilities required to ferry passengers through Cambodia and Vietnam in style. Guests can watch the world go by from the outdoor deck, which has a plunge pool and an indoor section for those sudden afternoon downpours! The suites are all air-conditioned and have California king beds, flat screen TVs, and sitting areas. Some suites have balconies with daybeds and panoramic windows; the suites without balconies have daybeds inside and panoramic windows, so you still get the great river views. For families, there are four pairs of interconnecting suites. When you’re on board, you can take advantage of the two spa treatment rooms, relax in the library, or chill out in the private cabanas around the plunge pool. The food comes courtesy of Michelin-starred Chef David Thompson, and is a fusion of Khmer and Vietnamese cuisines, centred around the catch-of-the-day and fresh produce from local markets. Excursions depart throughout the day, offering guests the chance to explore the shores of the Mekong with expert English-speaking guides. You can trek through the jungle, hop on a bicycle and cycle down the banks of the river, or visit one of the local villages for a glimpse into life by the water.

Halong Bay

Fully-equipped to keep you in the height of luxury, the Paradise Peak has fewer rooms than other vessels of its size, but this only guarantees more space per cabin and a more comfortable journey for you. Cabins on the Paradise Peak range from 39sqm to 42sqm, making them some of the larger rooms available out of the Halong Bay ships. They also come equipped with some of the best features too; each has a large en-suite bathroom and a private dining area, as well as double beds, ample storage space and a bathtub/Jacuzzi as well. Furnishings are lavish and of Vietnamese design, with plenty of lacquered wood and silk throws. Dine in the large restaurant on the third deck and watch Halong Bay sail by, or for a more private experience, take breakfast, lunch and dinner directly in your suite, either by the window or on your personal balcony. BBQs on the sundeck can also be arranged.
