Experience the wonders of the African bush at Gomoti Plains, a luxury camp in the heart of the magical Okavango Delta. The camp is named after the Gomoti Tree, known locally as water fig, which grows along the waterways of the Delta and you’ll certainly feel a connection to your natural environment here.
Ten luxury tents, two of which are built for families, are raised on wooden decks and overlook the Gomoti river system. Tents are decorated in classic safari style and feature en-suite bathrooms with his and her wash basins.
This area is incredibly rich in wildlife and the camp offers a variety of activities that allow you to appreciate its natural beauty. Game drives take you along the river system and flood plains, or you can choose to take to the water yourself in a mekoro canoe. Glide along the tranquil waterways and enjoy the Delta and its wildlife from a different angle. Motorised boat trips explore the deeper channels. Walking safaris are also available and are a great way to appreciate the smaller things in the bush that can sometimes be overlooked on a drive.
Food at Gomoti Plains is honest, traditional cuisine cooked by local chefs and wherever possible, dinner is eaten under the stars. When you’re not out searching for game, relax at the camp and simply enjoy the sublime beauty of this part of Botswana.
