I have never used a travel agency before, I usually book my own trips but because it was Africa I decided to find an agency to assist me and I was very fortunate to have chosen Jacada travel.All I can say is Rebecca Cook pretty much held my hand throughout the entire process (and I truly needed hand holding). We had a number of transfers between Kilimanjaro, the Serengeti, the Masai Mara and Capetown. I was a little skeptical that everyone who was supposed to meet us would be there, that the bush planes would be there when they were supposed to, to my relief they were all there waiting. That was my biggest concern. For me it felt like a very complex trip and Rebecca made it run like clockwork.
The lodges, the safaris, the hotel, the guides, could not have been better. It truly was the trip of a lifetime.
During the planning whenever I had any minor issues, between Rebecca, Angela and Biron they resolved them instantly.
I recommend Rebecca and her team highly and I would definitely use them again especially when I plan my next big trip (China,maybe)
We decided to go to Ecuador last minute. Jacob put together an amazing trip in no time, fulfilling all expectations. Perfect choice of lodges and cruise, the guides were outstanding. Great experience from our initial contact with Byron until we returned to South Carolina. Exceptional in every way. We spent some time planning this adventure and were not disappointed. A unique experience in Siem Reap
Carlos - our guide for the Sacred Valley, Cusco and Machu Picchu part of our trip - was beyond superb. He made the Inca culture and history come alive for my 21 and 18 year old kids. We were actually saddened when it was time to head for the Amazon without him.
Hanna at Jacada planned a dream vacation in Italy and France for our family. She thought of every detail to make our trip special - phenomenal tour guides and experiences, reliable and safe drivers, great restaurant recommendations from Michele, and gorgeous hotels in perfect locations. My husband and I recently returned from a 7 day trip to Peru. I can honestly say that it was the best trip I have been on and that is in complete credit to Jacada.
First, the planning process was so enjoyable. Lily, my travel agent put together a great itinerary that was personalized based on exactly what worked for us. Closer to the time of our trip we were assigned a travel concierge, Berni, who worked so hard to make sure every small detail from restaurant recommendations, spa appointments, and small tours were perfect. While on our trip the planning was executed perfectly. The transfers were seamless, the hotels were top notch, and each activity was booked ahead of time without hiccups
When we arrived in Peru we were treated like royalty from the second the wheels touched the ground. Our guides helped us with everything from checking into our hotels, guiding us through the airports, helping us pick out the best dishes on the restaurant menus, and even recommending extra activities along the way that weren't on our original itinerary.
A few examples:
In Lima - our first night we stayed at the airport hotel as we were scheduled to fly out to Cusco the following morning. Our guide picked us up from the airport just to walk us across the street to help us check into our hotel. The following morning we were running a few minutes behind. He sat with us while we finished breakfast and had a great conversation. What could have been stressful in a different scenario turned out to be a lovely morning.
Nilo - our guide in Cusco and Machu Picchu was one of the most special people I have ever met. He was so kind and considerate. His goal was to make sure that we enjoyed our vacation as much as possible. Upon arrival in Cusco, he recommended a stroll through the market and helped us pick out fresh and local fruit to try. When I told him I wanted a poncho he made a stop at a local shop where we learned about how the authentic alpaca ponchos are made. He reminded us to barter to be sure we paid a fair price. He was already prepared with tickets for us to visit Moray and Maras (two locations I really wanted to see, but didn't ask to have them added to the itinerary because I didn't think there would be time). He was also our guide on our Incan Trail hike to Machu Picchu. He made sure to point out the best locations for photos. . He was so smart. I felt like we were learning the entire time we were with him. He was also beyond prepared. He carried lunch for us that was catered from a delicious restaurant in Cusco. He carried extra water, sunscreen, and bug spray. At one point we started having muscle cramps and he was prepared with electrolytes and fashioned walking sticks out of bamboo. I was also very impressed because he shared that he went home and did research on how best to avoid cramps so he can make recommendations for future hikers. We were supposed to hike Mt. Machu Picchu, but we were so tired we wanted to sleep-in instead. Without a second hesitation he reorganized our itinerary for the following day so we could enjoy a restful morning in our hotel. He was nothing short of amazing!!
We also really loved Marisol, who was one of the kindest women I have met. We spent the day with her while on a food tour. She gave us tips and tricks on Peruvian cuisine. She even recommended a cold brew coffee with pineapple, which is now a new favorite treat of mine!! There are some people that you just feel a connection to and I feel truly blessed to have met her. We even exchanged email addresses to keep in touch.
I could think of 1,000 other reasons why this trip was amazing. But the bottom line is that I will not travel outside of the country again without the assistance of Jacada.

The trip to Africa was set up with consultation to be exactly what we wanted. The accommodations were excellent, the tour guides and the transportation were better than expected.
JacadaTravel set up meeting us at the airports, dropping us off at the hotels daily transportation and help within the airports from customs, check in and getting through baggage and ticketing was far better than expected.

Byron planned an amazing 12 day trip to South Africa for my family. We traveled to four different places and everything was coordinated perfectly. Additionally, all the lodges and hotels were great as were the tour guides.

We visited Norway on our honeymoon and Jacada Travel organized a phenomenal trip. There were many moving parts (walking tours, hikes, private boat tour of the fjords, ferry connections, etc.) and it went off without a hitch. My wife and I were impressed and would certainly plan another trip with Jacada.
Great trip, excellent customer service
Our Jacada travel experience was beautiful. While we have always been well informed self serve travelers, we were not as familiar with south east Asia and knew we needed help. We could have built a plan ourselves that would likely have cost about the same and have been no where near the experience or comfort that we had. Being able to communicate our goals for a holiday made the difference in building an experience that helped our family learn and grow together. Highly recommended.
Working with Jacada Travel was a very wise decision in planning our trip to Peru and Machu Picchu. From the moment I made the first call to Jacada I had no doubt that the trip would be planned down to the last detail. It was indeed a luxury vacation. All hotels, guides and restaurants were of the highest standard. The attention to detail is not to be underestimated. We never worried about anything from the moment we left home. The meet and greet at the airport, guides and drivers were always on time and very helpful. We were never left wondering who was picking us up and what the plan was. All we had to do was show up and enjoy the sites and experiences. Everything was taken care of; detailed itinerary, boarding passes, entrance fees, luggage handling, etc. This was the trip I was hoping for and there was not one thing I would change.
I have taken three trips with Jacada, all luxury vacations and each one was just that - luxury of the highest standard. I recently heard someone say that travel is an investment in memories. They could not be more right. And Jacada made that happen. I am in the planning stages of a fourth Jacada trip and could not be happier.

Table bay Hotel in Cape Town was fabulous . The Jock lodge in Krueger National park was breathtaking. It had 6000 of it leased aces that all of the big 5.
The tours &tour guild were top notch. I had a weather issues that caused cancelation of some my hours. The company took care of all the rescheduling & gave me new idea for other activities
This was the first time using a travel company to plan and book an international vacation and after our incredible experience, I can say that Jacada is the only way to travel. Every transfer was seamless from the start of the trip to our departure day. The guides were extremely knowledgeable, plus the fact that we were alone on all our tours was worth every penny.
During our trip to Peru, we hiked the Inca Trail and that by far was the highlight of our trip. Juan Carlos and the entire trekking team full supported us along the 4 day hike. And the meals....wow!!

We chose Jacada Travel to plan our second safari trip to Africa. We wanted a private safari experience on our terms! We had two major goals: see the mountain gorillas of Rwanda and check off the rhino from our Big Five list. We put Jonny Humphries to work on the itinerary, and he knocked it out of the park. Jacada had excellent ideas about what we should do, and all their recommendations were spot-on. We were met by cheerful, helpful greeters at each airport and each transfer point. Having someone meet us at all these places really relieves the stress. Our guides in Kenya and Rwanda were top-notch. Our accommodations were all five-star. We were always wistful when we left a hotel because we were always having a good time. Then we would get to the next place and be equally impressed and excited about the new place. Everything went off without a hitch. Jacada is first-class all the way.
Wonderful service for airport pickup (our flight was delayed 12 hrs and ultimately changed to a different flight number but they were still there to pick us up!)

Hotel selection was mixed (some were amazing, others missed the mark) and pre-departure packing list and detailed itinerary could have been communicated better.
Overall a great experience. Accommodations were top notch. Guides were excellent. Meals served during the safari were amazing. I especially thought it was wonderful for our guides to setup breakfast or lunch by a river bank or under the trees with a great view of the animals roaming in the park... just missing a few minor details that could have elevated it to 5 stars. Received our travel packet after we arrived from the trip. A slight faux pas considering we booked the trip a year in advance. A month after we booked our trip, we were asked what our favorite drink was, as well as, a picture of the group....still not sure what that was for. A travel phone app that detailed our daily itinerary would be a nice touch.
This was our second trip with Jacada and both have been amazing experiences. The staff was so accommodating especially when Alex had to comb all of Edinburgh to change our restaurant reservations.
We were especially thrilled with our guide, Ross. He was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. I would recommend him to anyone traveling to Scotland
We’re very experienced travelers but this was our first time in Iceland. Jacada and their Icelandic affiliate delivered a fantastic 5 day experience. Our guide Siggi was among the best we have had on any trip. As a mountaineer he read the weather in exceptional ways and redesigned our itinerary on the fly to minimize the impact of the wind and the rain. He was personable and informed.
We chose to not go ultra luxury in hotels. It was a good trade off since we spent long days with experiences as long as the daylight lasted.
Overall, smiles all day every day! Kudos to Jacada and Siggi for a job exceptionally well done.

Many activities, first & third hotels very good, Vik ok but dinner quite good. Overall food unexpectedly wonderful in Iceland. Overall first hotel the best. Our guide, Pietr, made this trip amazing. Immediately I felt he was looking after us, very quickly felt totally comfortable. He added extra stops & was totally patient plus concerned about my interests & my sister’s interests which differed at times.
We could not have asked for a better service, from the the preliminary planning through the actual trip.We were able, during the trip, to contact a representative at any hour to make modifications to the itinerary. We will definitely retain Jacada Travel for our future trips.

I just returned from a fabulous trip to Iceland (Aug. 2019). Jacada put together an amazing itinerary and provided me with guides who were exceptional. I traveled with my sister and, though our interests were different at times, our guides - especially Petur - managed to satisfy us both. From start to finish, including the preparation that Jacada helped us with pre-trip, we couldn't be more appreciative. This trip turned out so well that I fully intend to recommend Jacada to others. What we saw and experienced has given us memories that will last for a lifetime.

Sarah during the planning phase and Gilda as the regional concierge were fantastic. We did a two week trip to Vietnam and Thailand that was planned in under one week with only three weeks before the trip so needless to say it was very fast timing. Despite the quick turnaround, no detail was missed. The hands on service, local guides, drivers, etc were all top notch. I typically plan my own trips but now understand the value of a great travel designer!

A family holiday in London - a popular place to go. I did not fancy anything exotic before the trip. But once again, Jacada made what looked ordinary so special.
Heather, Kit, the team of Jacada had put so much effort to make our journey so special. They looked into every details and everything was seamlessly arranged. All the tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. We had two small kids 6 and 10 y.o. They just knew how to keep them interested.
The highlight of our trip was a family photo shoots arranged by Jacada for us as a "gift". What a surprise! Our photographers were very professional. They spent the whole day with us in Cotswold. We ended up being very good friends. We shared jokes and smiles all day. All our sweet memories were imprinted on the photos.
The scone baking class was also very interesting. Now we know the tricks to make good scones at home. During the class, we also learnt some history and etiquette of English High tea.
We all have a very good time in London. Heartfelt thanks to Jacada!
