The Peninsula Istanbul

Heritage architecture and sumptuous dining await you
Set along the banks of the stunning Bosphorus, located in the Karaköy district of Istanbul, the Peninsula Istanbul offers a diverse array of accommodation choices. 177 rooms and suites provide sweeping views over the water from floor to ceiling windows, balconies, and private terraces; others include direct access to the magnificent gardens, expansive swimming pool, private boat dock, and stylish restaurants and bars. All have been decorated with bespoke furnishings, modern interpretations of Turkish design elements like wood-and-mother-of-pearl inlay and kilim-style carpets, and sumptuous baths clad in Marmara marble.
For dining the Peninsula Istanbul offers two distinctive dining venues. Enjoy an elegant, airy space with double-height ceilings and dazzling Bosphorus views from both main and mezzanine levels at The Lobby. Here you can savour all-day Mediterranean-influenced fare, lavish Sunday brunch and signature Peninsula Afternoon Tea. The restaurant regularly showcases live music performers, and offers a sweeping outdoor terrace, surrounded by landscaped gardens and overlooking the hotel’s private boat dock.
The hotel’s featured rooftop restaurant, Gallada offers sophisticated Turk-Asian cuisine and libations in memorable dining areas, including an expansive rooftop terrace with unparalleled views over the Bosphorus and hotel gardens.
If you wish to truly indulge then the Peninsula Spa and Wellness Centre is the perfect place for you during your stay. Relax in any of the eight private treatment rooms – two of them for couples – or sweat it out in one of the saunas or lavish hammams.

Places to combine the Peninsula Istanbul with

Cappadocia
Take a step back in time with a stay at this extraordinary boutique hotel set within a series of ancient stone caves and historic dwellings.
Once part of Uçhisar’s monastic settlement, this restored former monastery is perched on the edge of the village in the heart of UNESCO-listed Cappadocia. It is brilliantly placed for watching hot air balloons drift across the landscape at sunrise from parts of the hotel, including its terraces.
Rooms and suites are spread across restored stone buildings, each with its own character. You can choose an authentic cave room, or opt for something more contemporary with traditional touches. Some suites include private cave pools, open fireplaces and balconies overlooking the valleys. Bathrooms are carved from natural stone with walk-in showers and generous deep baths.
We especially recommend dining at Seki or Nahita, where you can enjoy fresh ingredients from the Argos Gardens alongside views over Pigeon Valley and Mount Erciyes. A buffet breakfast is served each morning, and later in the day you can unwind with drinks by the fire. Or head down to one of Türkiye’s largest natural underground wine cellars to sample local wines, including the hotel’s own Nahita Dokya label.
The spa is exceptional. Built into historic cave formations, it includes a traditional Turkish bath (hammam), indoor cave pool, sauna, steam room and specialised treatments.
